No gimmicks, just a decently good looking lamp with an on-off toggle. If you like the look of a linen drum to diffuse a light source, this does the job well. The price is reasonable, and the lamp itself is nothing fancy. However there are some little details that go unnoticed that should be mentioned. For starters, the bottom is coated with a non-slip and non-scratch felt or suede covering, this is a nice touch. Also the lamp has a weighted base to it be prevent you from accidentally knocking it over. It's a small thing, but it makes a significant difference. Consider also, the lamp shade is of a fairly standard 1.5ish inch diameter. You do have the ability to replace or upgrade the shade portion independently of the lamp if you want to try something that might suit your aesthetic tastes better. And finally, they offer a decent variety of finishes. I cannot recall the number of times I've found a product that I've liked only to wonder "I wish they made this in a different color." I've liked it enough to order 3 (all in separate orders). Time will tell how it holds up, but I have a feeling there will be no problem.

Ordered this lamp and got it in just 2 days time so I was impressed with that and in addition, once I opened the box and saw it, I loved it. Just perfect for my nightstand and I love the pull chain. Just as a precaution for everyone, I would recommend when you pull the chain, not to pull it straight down but pull it off to the side. Pulling it fact down causes it to stick and could ruin it but pulling it off to the side and pulling down, it does it freely and with ease. Other than that, I love the lamp and would recommend it to anyone, especially for the price.

I was looking for a small but not tiny lamp with the on/off switch not on the power cord, that was inexpensive, and cute, and that combination is almost impossible, but this lamp exactly what I was looking for. The natural wood base is nice and wide which keeps my cats from knocking it over, and it also serves as a catchall for little items like paper clips etc., plus it adds to the style. I think whoever designed this lamp gave a lot of attention to detail. Even the shade is pretty.

This lamp was just as described. I needed a smal lamp for my husbands desk and it was the perfect size and it casts a lovely glow in the room as well. There was no assembly required as in other lamps I’ve bought on line. Just put on the shade and have a light bulb handy and you’re in business. Getting the label from the wood base was a bit tricky but certainly not a problem. Highly recommend this little gem.

This little lamp packs a lot of punch. I have it on top of my small secretary style desk. I find this lamp has both a county farmhouse and a contemporary style. For a smaller size, it give off more than enough light yet it is not harsh but a pleasant soft output. The little pull chain with the black pull makes it easy to use for putting on and off. For the price, you cannot beat this stylish and functional yet pleasing lamp.
