  • Game changer for fine frizzy hair
I got this because I wanted something that would smooth my hair without flattening it completely. I have long fine hair that gets textured and frizzy in the humidity, and I am in South Florida so humidity is at its best here. The first thing I noticed when I opened it was how high quality it feels. It fit my Dyson super well, snaps on in seconds and releases easily with the push of a button. I have the first gen dyson airwrap. I tried it today on air dried hair that I washed yesterday and slept on, because I wanted to try it right away and not wait till wash day again. I know it will work even better when my hair is damp but I was impatient. Once you turn it on, it is easy to see the vents go pointing down and the silicone bumper is toward your scalp. You run your hair through and it straightens. And it works. Even on dried hair. The thing I like best about it is my hair still has volume but it is straight. Normally flat irons make my hair super thin and it loses all volume. With this, you keep the volume but also straighten out the length and ends. It is such a difference. I added before and after photos and you can really see it. It uses controlled airflow instead of direct heat plates so it is gentler on color treated and fine hair. I used it on the highest heat setting and it did not overheat my Dyson. My hair came out sleek and shiny. It would probably work even better if I had used products but I will next time. One thing to be aware of is that it is not compatible with the Airwrap 2x HS09 so double check your model. I think this is best for anyone with fine hair who wants smooth results without losing volume. It is perfect for frizzy hair, for humidity, for anyone who wants salon like results at home. Overall I am putting my flat iron in storage because this works just as good. ... show more

  • Smoothing without flattening for fine hair
The media could not be loaded. I picked this Dyson Air Wrap attachment up because I am always looking for a tool that will help smooth my fragile, fine, thin hair and won’t flatten it out and fry it causing more damage. I have not found the attachment that came will the Air Wrap that is supposed to smooth very effective for my hair type. I’ve wanted to try the Dyson Coralle but have been reluctant to spend the money on top of the cost of the Air Wrap. This attachment works pretty well! It helps smooth the fuzzy and flyaway pieces without flattening out my hair. It does not make my hair poker straight, which is perfect for me. Note that it is to be used on DRY hair, unlike the other Air Wrap attachments. Also, you have to turn the Air Wrap on and off each time you want to work with a different piece of hair because that’s how the tool opens and closes to grab the hair. That’s a bit of a pain to navigate. I am not sure how effective this would be to actually straighten thick, coarse, curly hair. Otherwise, the tool fits securely and works as I expected and am happy to have it in my toolbox. Do be sure your Air Wrap model is compatible. ... show more

  • I don’t have to buy a whole new Dyson now!!!
This thing is SICK!!! I dont have the “real” version to compare it to but I’m also probably never will because not going to drop an additional $700 bucks on the air straight after I literally just spent that much on my Airwrap ID last fall (not knowing they’d drop the 2x model literally 2 months later 🙄) Another factor that will keep my happily ignorant about how OEM compares to this version is that its $12. Like even if Dyson made the same attachment available for the Airwrap that you could buy separately, i know it’d cost at least 2-3x more. This one is actually considerably advanced for the price, because it is designed with the built-in mechanism that moves and actually clamps down on your hair (gently, btw) so that the airflow is super concentrated towards the exact section you’re working on, and gives a super sleek straightening-effect. I’ve ordered other after-market attachments that, while I was able to get at a similar price and excellent results, had to sacrifice on some of those convienience-features that may have required a more engineered design to achieve (ie turning a knob to switch curl directions vs swapping out the whole barrel). I definitely overdid it on my first run and ended up with hilariously flat hair, all in a uniform layer as if my hair was just all one single sheet of black paper. Protip- use caution if you have thin/fine hair and you’re going to start at your roots… make sure you let them cool with a volumizing clip or something that preserves height/body, otherwise they’ll end up way too flat against your scalp 😂. ... show more

  • Affordable replacement straightener nozzle compatible with Dyson Airwrap
This replacement nozzle for the Dyson Airwrap is a solid alternative that performs just like the original attachment. It fits and functions the same as the OEM version, making it easy to swap in without any issues. The construction feels comparable as well, so it doesn’t come across as a cheap substitute. It also attaches and works without any fuss, which makes daily use simple. Considering the much lower price, it offers excellent value compared to buying the original. Since it’s a third party replacement, it’s mainly useful as a cost saving option rather than an upgrade over the original design. Those who prefer sticking strictly with official accessories may still lean toward the OEM version. In terms of function though, it performs just as well for the job. ... show more

  • Bad design and terrible plastic smell once heated
The media could not be loaded. There are a few things not great about this product. I wasn’t sure if it would fit the airwrap that I have since I didn’t know what model I had and there are some that doesn’t work with this, but it fit mine fine. Once you turn on the Dyson, the attachment automatically clamps shut together. The part that clams shut together is lined with silicone (?) rubber on the inside, so it doesn’t feel that great as you glide the attachment down the hair… it feels sort of like my hair is being tugged on. Then, once you’re done with the bunch of hair you were straightening, you have to turn off the Dyson to get the clamp to open so you can grab another section of hair. That is pretty inconvenient. But the biggest issue is the strong smell of plastic that came from it once heated. It almost smelled like plastic parts in a new car. I can’t use this. ... show more
