I feel like I just came from the salon!! I have very thick, very straight (ugly straight w/o doing something with it), hair in a jaw-length bob. I reluctantly bought this dryer as I had a different brand when my hair was very long and I hated it for many reasons. I thought I would try again with a trusted brand like Tigi and I was not disappointed!! 1. my old brush/dryer had very rigid "bristles" that were more like solid, plastic spikes. Tigi's bristles are just like a real brush with a more rigid (but flexible) main bristle and a boar's hair type bristle that helps keep the hair on the dryer. I use a product that requires the hair be "taught" in order for the product to work well, this dryer worked PERFECTLY! 2. Because the bristles aren't as rigid, I was able to easily dry at the root which--of course--is where you get volume and it gave TONS. 3. I don't know if it's the oval shape, the power cord that isn't in a fixed position and moves with your rotation, the nub at the end that allows you to hold it in place like you would a curling iron, or a combination of all three, but you can turn, turn, turn, in one spot until it is dry which is FANTASTIC! 4. My old combo dryer was VERY heavy. Let's be real, this is a brush and blow dryer in one, it's not feather light, but it's not as heavy as I expected. Since it does the job much faster and more efficiently, maybe the fatigue on my arms never set in, but it wasn't bad. All-in-all, I think it is so cheesy when people say "I wish I would have bought this YEARS ago!" since it seems Tigi recently developed this particular brush, I'll instead say "I wish they's come up with this years ago!" LOL!! It's a little more expensive than the other dryer brushes, but I think it is well worth it!! ... show more

I love it! Very easy to use and makes my hair look smooth and luscious! I really like how it makes my hair look and feel. It dries evenly and seems to help smooth the hair as you go along. It's easy enough to maintain, I always brush my hair before I use this so the brush part doesn't catch much, I try to keep it as clean as possible. The airflow is nice and evenly distributed the heat. It is a little bulky, but definitely not so much so that it couldn't be brought along on a trip if needed. Love this thing. But when a few years ago for cheap and it worked exceptionally well. Lost it during a move and was so disappointed. Bought a chi for $99 and it sucked terribly. Toss the chief finally after a few years now that I found this available again for the same good price and I'm so happy with it. Provides a lot of body to your hair and I find that I don't even need to straighten it at all or use anything to help with phrase afterwards and my hair is naturally curly wavy and frizzy as heck. ... show more

Good power and durability , lasted about 2 years. Easy to use , a lot of airflow. Did make my hair shiny. After a while it gave off a weird odor and when it came in the mail the brush itself was bent in a few places. Use your heat damage control products, it gets super hot and will burn your hair. I rarely write reviews, usually because if an item performs as expected then it did what it was supposed to do. But I HAD to write a review for this product because it is exceptional. I am a hair idiot, I'm impatient, and I'm busy. But I was tired of my long hair looking untidy and putting it up all the time. I have a CHI straightener but the sheer amount of time it takes plus the frustrating lack of volume means it has been collecting dust in my bathroom cabinet for over a year. I saw a similar product to this Tigi one on Facebook but at over $80. That was a hard pass. (Oh, and I'm super cheap. Add that to the list above) so I started looking at alternatives and looked at the Revlon product first. It seemed ok, but some of the reviewers said it was heavy or burned out after a few uses. I found this one next; it had positive reviews and was less expensive than the Revlon model so I decided to give it a try. I had tried in the past to use a round brush and blow dryer, but I wasn't coordinated enough and my shoulders ached from trying to wrangle my long, thick, coarse hair into a straight, voluminous mane. I turned this on and in about 5 minutes had dry, straight, smooth hair. It is literally a miracle! I do a rough dry with my hair dryer before using this tool (see "impatient" above) but I'm sure it would dry towel-dried hair without an issue. This is foolproof, quick and will give consistent good results. I use it most mornings and still love it. From a hair idiot, give it a try. You won't be disappointed. (Note: it is pretty loud so you might want to keep a pair of earplugs in the bathroom to protect your hearing) ... show more

Game. Changer. I am so mad that it’s taken me so long to discover/try this product. I’ve always struggled with my hair type. Super frizzy, unmanageable. I went years trying to be a curly girl but the maintenance was too much. Never could get a hold on the frizz and how huge my hair would be at the end of the day. Was tired of straightening. It took 35-40 minutes plus the time to air dry/blow dry. This all in one hair dryer took 13 minutes total and my hair is shiny, defined & has the perfect blow out bounce. I am honestly floored and not being dramatic when I say that this is a life changing product. I have two toddlers, I don’t have the time to mess with my hair that I used to. I used to plan my hair washing/straightening around our schedules or vice versa. This gives me freedom from that. All I need is 15 minutes! Really impressed and happy with the rapid straightening ability, in less than 5 minutes I had my previously semi dried hair straightened as I'd only had obtained at the salon. It is really easy to use and to handle around the head/hair (despite the device's size, I must confess I thought it'd be smaller or thinner), and it really leaves you with a smoother and shinier look, comparing to the look I was used to get with a common hair drier. However, the only issue I've faced was that in the end, as I was intending to finish the look with the coolest feature, in order to close the hair cuticles and gain a final bigger shine, it just made a huge and frightening noise, and just burnt out. So... I've just used it once, I even got the best result I've ever had with an hair device, and just lost it in the end... It doesn't turn on until now... pretty sad it is a pretty amazing device, in every kind of way... Gotta get a new one and pray it doesn't die so soon... (just had to advise you considering this disadvantage...) ... show more

I HATE drying my hair. I have naturally “curly” hair but it’s more like a bad home perm if I let it dry naturally. So I never let it dry naturally. I have long thick hair that I used to dread drying using a traditional hair dryer and a brush in front of a mirror which took forever and then I would have to follow up with a straightener to smooth things out. Now, I can dry my hair sitting in bed (or on the couch) while watching tv without a brush or mirror. My hair always comes out looking full, smooth and healthy in half of the time. I bought this one to replace the first circled hair dryer I bought because my daughter loved mine so much I gave it to her. It was great too but I like this one much better. It’s a little bigger and the bristles are better. It has several heat settings. I’ve always worried in the past when buying hair dryers if the heat actually gets hot enough to straighten my hair and this one definitely does. I love the way it makes my hair look, the time it saves me and now I only dread drying my hair a little bit now. Haha. I’ll never use a traditional hair dryer again. Great price and shipped so quickly. You won’t be disappointed if you hate drying your hair no matter the texture or your hair. I’m going to buy a few for a few of my friends. ... show more
