Don’t know why, but my youngest is a very picky eater, despite being fed all manner of healthy items, fruits & vegetables, when they were a baby and toddler. Then one day, they just refused to eat everything they had been eating, and life became very interesting, to say the least. My other kids will eat pretty much anything and school lunches are a breeze with them. So, needless to say, when it came time for my youngest to head to school, I was worried. Then, I happened to see another child in one of my other kid’s classes who is even pickier than my youngest and he had a bentgo box with all kinds of small portions of a wide variety of foods. I immediately looked it up, and I read a million reviews (mainly because it’s a pretty pricey item, and I didn’t want to throw that much money away on something that would leak, etc.) and decided to go for it. Best solution for my picky eater - ever! I have even been adding some of those things my child used to eat and love (like carrots), and they are actually eating them again! 9 out of 10 days, the box comes back completely empty, and their teacher confirmed that they are eating everything and not throwing anything away. Everything is nicely proportioned (I put yogurt in the small circular compartment - I have also put peanut butter in there, and it was a hit - just throw in a spoon on the side of their lunchbox). Couldn’t be happier. I was not thrilled to spend so much money on this, especially since I also had to buy a lunchbox to put it in, but it does NOT leak, ever (as long as it is fully and correctly latched and yes, my 4 year old can open and close/latch it very easily). I do handwash the outer shell everyday (to protect the rubber seals), but I pop the tray into the dishwasher. Also, I found additional tray inserts here on Amazon ($8 each when I purchased them) that are bentgo brand and fit perfectly in the outer shell. That way, I can have a spare in case of damage but mainly so I don’t have to run my dishwasher everyday. The spare trays also come with thin clear lids so you can prep lunch the night before, place in the fridge and then remove the lid and pop into the shell the next day. So glad I found this. Worth every penny!

We got this for my 2 year old’s daycare lunches and it’s been wonderful. We loved it so much we even bought another one for our daughter. The portion sizes and different compartments make it so easy to pack lots of different things for lunch. It is actually leak proof so I can pack things like applesauce or cottage cheese and still throw it in his backpack without worrying it will end up everywhere. After about 6 months of daily use and washing it did start developing these little black spots in the rubber seals that I assume were mold. According to Bentgo’s website they have a 2 year warrant so I called and explained the situation and within 6 minutes the customer service rep had a new one ordered to my house that will arrive in 3 days. I was extremely happy with how easy it was to get a replacement at no cost! Great product! Great customer service!

These are so adorable. They help my kids eat more at school, because the boxes have smaller portion sizes and more items. I tend to pack bigger portions of a few food items, and the kids get bored of the food pretty easily. This resulted in a lot of wasted food--half eaten sandwiches, etc. But my kids love choosing all the items they can put in each well! They get pretty creative with it. The portion sizes are on the small side, so for my 8 year old I do have to pack additional snack bags in his lunchbox. But my youngest does just fine with the box alone. The boxes are very durable and the designs are great!

This year is my first year ever packing lunches for my kids. My daughter is a senior & this would be WAY to small for her for a meal, but would work well for snacks if she's going anywhere (field trip?). My kindergartener absolutely loves his lunch box though. He helps me pack it daily. It is a little heavy, which isn't a terrible thing. Before closing it, I put cling wrap over the sections so things don't leak. He usually has pudding or yogurt and this helps them stay in their spot. I'm not a huge fan of the circle in the middle, but that's a good spot for his treat (a few skittles, m&m's peach rings, etc). This is definitely a lunch box I would purchase again (especially if it's on sale). Pros: great portions for a younger kid, easy to open, easy to clean, a spot for protein/carbs, fruit, veggies, treat, etc. Cons: would be too small for an older kid, liquid would leak to different compartment (easily remedied), a little heavy.

I purchased two bentgo lunch box for my 6yr old son. One got lost and found a month later from school so we had to say bye bye without opening it. But the amazing part was any uncomfortable smell didn't come out from the lunch box. 😅 It is definitely leak proof and smell proof. And my customer service experience was for other one that survived and arrives home from school. Unfortunately the inner part of top lid got damaged by my mistake. So I was looking for replacements and Juliene at customer service solved my issue right away. The reply was prompt and she gave me hassle free solution. Thank you sooo much!! ** I really recommend this lunch box to parents with little kids. I've used other lunch boxes, too. Each item had issues but the bentgo is only one surviving from my son and I think it says it all. **

My daughter LOVES this lunchbox. It is not only cute but very functional. She can easily open and close it and it keeps everything separated and is leak proof ! She likes not having everything in seperate containers or bags during lunch because sometimes that makes it take too long to open everything. She easily opens this and has her lunch, snacks and even a little treat ready to eat ! I will continue buying Bentgo brand lunch containers because they are worth all the hype !
