My wife is a Global C-Level Executive of an extremely large Corporation, traveling all over the World, but she mentioned that even though she was staying at some Five Star Hotels, one thing that many of them skimped on was their hair dryers. I knew she already had a travel hair dryer, which I asked her about, and she told me it just wasn’t powerful enough for her preference. So I’ve been looking for a a new travel option for a while, and stumbled across this one - it seemed to meet the requirements she had described to me and the reviews were good, so I ordered it as a surprise. Well, when she first saw it, she said it looked similar to her current travel hair dryer, but then she started to put the nozzles on (or whatever they’re called), and she froze for a second and then told me they connected magnetically, which she loved. Then she realized this hair dryer actually folded up, which her current one didn’t, and she was more impressed. She told me that if it actually worked like a full-sized hair dryer, she’d be over the moon, so the next test was to plug it in and turn it on. I waited in anticipation for a reaction, but she kind of stood there for a few moments, and then turned it off, so I assumed it may have been travel sized but didn’t bring the heat, but instead, she said she was stunned…she couldn’t believe how well that small hair dryer worked.     • Broke in less than 10 months
Yikes, this wasn’t a good experience. Well, I was traveling a lot and this worked well enough when I was living out of a suitcase. I loved the magnetic attachments too. However, I always disliked not having a cool shot button (you can only do cool air on a high power blow) and eventually got annoyed at my not being able to easily remove the backside’s filter for lint cleaning. You can’t enjoy the pretty blue light with the attachments on either, which bummed me out. That was a feature that attracted me, but couldn’t enjoy because I always operated it with the concentrator nozzle on. Practicality took priority. What’s more, I got a version with the tiny hair diffuser attachment despite the photos showing a larger one. Customer service tried to help me out with that issue, but they couldn’t send me the large one separately as initially promised. Plus, without the concentrator nozzle? I could tell the hair dryer wasn’t as powerful as others I’ve owner. I tried to overlook everything and just settle with it after the return window passed. Finally, less than 10 months after purchase, it ultimately started making a worrisome, high-pitched rattling noise coupled with a slight burning smell and then began blowing air too weakly even at full power. It didn’t even last a year! So beware, I would not recommend this hair dryer. It’s cute and traveled well for a few months, but I’m used to having my hair dryers last a few years. Never had one die this fast in addition to struggling with so many shortcomings that are standard in other comparable travel minis. By contrast, I’ve used older and cheaper price-point models (travel and full-sized) for years and years before they stopped working. :( ... show more
