Had the original Remmington version of these clippers for about 7 years. It was great, went to buy a new one after it died and discovered it was no longer $30, and was now $60. So I started looking for alternatives, and came across this clone for $30. Aside from some minor visual differences, it operates almost identically. The power plug is slightly different, so you can't share a plug, but it comes with a charger... so... meh? The blade is a bit different. The blades are a little bit shorter, and I'd say it doesn't perform quite as well as the Remmington, sometimes taking an extra pass. I wouldn't say it's annoying, or performs poorly though. The neat part is, I have an extra blade now, because the Remmington blade fits and works perfectly. I'd say try this out over the Remmington, and if you don't think it performs as well as you'd like, you can purchase a Remmington Blade (RP00517) for under $20, and still come out saving money.

Jammed very easily even with thin hair. It was tough to clean. The little holes that are advertised to make it easy to rinse didn't rinse well, and just ended up being extra spaces for hair to accumulate. Lastly, the motor died after less than a year and mayb 15-20 uses.

I've been cutting my hair down to 2-mm all over using a beard trimmer - that works fine but takes time and repeated revisits to catch the odd tuft of hair that escapes (usually at the back). This unit does a much cleaner, faster, and better job.

Hard to say if I'd recommend this or not... Yes, it's half the price of Remington, but if it's something you use often, going cheap is not always the right answer. I've listed the CONS below, and the PRO is obviously the lower price. I'd say it might be worth it if you use attachments, but it's not worth it if you buzz your hair without attachments (on zero). CONS: - Buzzing your hair without attachments (on zero) leaves more stubble than Remington. - The attachments clip on tightly vertically, but some wobble side to side. - The charging cord is very short, so even though it works plugged in, don't expect to use this with a cord. - If you used to have Remington, unfortunately, the power cord and attachments are not interchangeable. - Found a little bit of hair shavings on some of the attachments (so sick of getting someone's returns).
