I purchased a women's Schwinn mountain bike but after riding it a few times my bum couldn't take it anymore. The seat was hard and thin. I call it a men's bike seat. My poor bum ached after only minutes of riding. I tried putting a folded towel on the seat & sitting on that but the towel wouldn't stay exactly where I put it. I decided to give this seat a try. Aw-w-we, relief. The width is great for me (my bum is not tiny) and the cushioning is so good. I'm glad I bought this bike seat. I hope it lasts. The only downside for me was I couldn't use the hardware that came with the seat, must be the way schwinn makes its bikes. I had to used the hardware that was already on my bike seat. ... show more

Partially fake advertisement. The seat looks nice and works but with a typical cushion, nothing special except extra width, that's why 3 stars. It said and shown on pic, "Dual Shock Absorbing Balls" under the seat. After my suspicion that it didn't move, I disassembled it and discovered that there were no moving parts, only a fixed plastic post inside and that rubber that looked like a Shock Absorbing Balls, just a fake rubber cover. It was meant to work, and it could, but something was off in engineering, and mfr didn't want to fix it. The seller may not know it, but it's easy to see and test. I'm not too fond of false advertisements and would give it 1 star just for that. And the seat easily rotates like a bar stool on the post and is very annoying; it feels insecure. ... show more
