It works SO WELL! And it cuts through my course, wavy hair like butter. I absolutely love it! Here were my initial "objections" prior to purchase: - Expensive! - Only 4 reviews - "Off-brand" - Are removable heads (for cleaning) a gimmick? - Is it actually quiet? - Will the motor be strong enough? - Is battery life actually that good? - Will it last? After almost 5 months of use here's what I think: Price: Yes, it was expensive at $149.99 (what I paid for it), but if you're getting it for the current price of about $110...or even on sale for just under $100...it's TOTALLY worth it! I feel a tad cheated since I paid so much and now there's a coupon. But I can't complain about the quality of it....it's fabulous. Reviews: I'd give it 4.5 stars, taking off for the price I paid. If you don't include the price, I'd give it 4.9 (taking off for no storage case). Off-Brand: Yes, it's off-brand. But I compared it to two name brands (Whal and Remington) and it was superior in every way but one....there's no storage case. Removable Head: Worth It!! So worth it! It makes claening a breeze and I love having it. Noise: It's quiet. Not the quietest, but compared to my Remington ... it's sooo, quiet. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Motor Strength: My hair is.....difficult. It can never make up it's mind (does something different every day), it's super thick, and it's ridiculously unruly. And yet, this trimmer goes through it like butter. No more snagging on my strange hair, no more tugging, or pinching, or hurting when I trim. Battery: I've used it 5-6 times now, it takes about 20 monutes to do each trim, and I've never had to recharge it yet. It's still on 70% battery! Which brings up another nice thing - the LCD screen. Love being able to see how much charge is left. Quality: So far, almost 5 months in, it's doing great. Of course, I take care of it. I oil after each trim, and make sure to clean the blade each time as well. If this keeps up, it'll last for 5-10 years. Guards: Yes, it's worth it to have all those guard sizes and the color coding is genius. I can't see myself going back to having less or not having the colors. It makes things so easy. Adjustable Taper Head: Being able to manually adjust the blade height a few clicks (versus changing out the guard) for inbetween lengths is perfect. It was always frustrating having the large and noticable line from changing out guards...now I can taper so much nicer. Highly recommend, especially if priced close to $110. My only "con" is that it still doesn't come with a storage container. Currently, I keep it in the box (which is huge!) to keep everything organized and together. If they added a storage box, I'd easily pay $149 for it again.

It has been hit or miss for my husband to get a haircut during COVID times. First there is the fear of being closer than 6 feet to someone you don't know, and then finding an opening for a haircut with limited open hours. So, this holiday, I took the plunge and got my husband hair clippers determined to give him a haircut myself. I have long curly hair and cut my own hair with scissors all the time. But my curly hair is very forgiving of mistakes. Clippers are another story, especially on someone else's hair. When my husband opened his gift, his face showed both fear and joy. I convinced him I could do this. The set up out of the box was easy, as were instructions. However, what would been helpful is actual instructions in styling hair such as a link to a video. I did find a helpful video from a woman professional cutting her husband's hair with clippers (not this brand, though). My husband's hair had gotten quite long and I hesitated at first. I used the longest hair guard to start and took the plunge. After that, there was no turning back. I moved on to shorter guards and in less than 10 minutes he was a brand new man. (I won't lie, it was a turn-on.) He looks great and I felt proud. These clippers are going to save us a bundle and keep us safe during these crazy times. I recommend them. Stay safe, everyone.

I just recently upgraded to a babyliss fx pro series (spent $400+) and I ended up returning it and going back To this one by opove because it is a lot smoother (babyliss was vibrating up through my elbow) , A lot quieter(vs babyliss that rings in the clients ear and scares kids) lightweight (babyliss was heavy) ergonomic even sturdy weight distribution (vs babyliss that is handle heavy) has very comfortable slightly rounded edge gaurds (vs the babyliss sharp gaurds) cuts Find and thick hair ( Versus the babyliss that I had a hard time Cutting fine hair with because it would slip right past the blade) . I purchase this clipper From opove 6 months ago And I absolutely love it. I use it on a daily basis several times. I love how easy and User friendly it is. Taking the blade off of the housing is extremely easy. The battery life is amazing. The guards Are not labeled the same as whall or babyliss. The "3" on opove is equivalent to a "1" whal clipper, 6 is a 2, 9 is a 3, 12 is a 4, 15 is a 5, 18 is a 6, 21 is a 7 and 24 is a 8. Take a little to get used to it 1st but after I memorized it it didn't affect me. I've never had an issue with pressing buttons accidentally. Having the option To change the blade link is a complete game changer for fading. I find myself changing the clipper guard Half as many times as I did with my whal and babyliss Which Saves me a lot of time. Over all I seriously love this product.. The only thing that I really can Complain about is that the company is MIA every once in a while and cannot be Reached for Replacement parts. Originally I purchased 2 sets of Extra guards To help save time and not have to clean them after every client.I'm even contemplating purchasing a another opove clipper just to have a backup! So if I were you I would get A spare blade or two and some extra clipper guards at the time of purchase. I would also purchase the warrant you if available Just in case. I've never had any problems with mine But now I wish I had purchased it so that if I do run into any problems I can get a new one.
