  • Seems quite nice and no faults so far
Size: 19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in
H2Pro 20" Glass Canopy 10 Gallon Aquarium Fish Tank (19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in) Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC ~ $27.99 Just got it today so cant speak of it's longevity but it arrived in one piece, it's decent thickness glass with nicely finished edges, the hinge seems decent, and the trim-able part is just a hair longer than the glass (or wider depending on how you're looking at it... I mean longways) so no gaps and it will seal up nicely. And the trim-able piece went on very snugly so it stays firmly in place, but it wasn't impossible to put on like some others have said. I advise just taking your time and being firm but not forcing it, maybe give it a little wiggle to seat it as you go. That's all that was necessary in my case. And if it's a major struggle realize it's plastic, so either run it under some hot water to soften it up a bit, or warm it up (moderately) with a heat gun or hair dryer. As far as fitment goes it fits my Aqueons with just a bit of wiggle room around the edges but not enough to allow any gaps at any point. Maybe between 1/8 to 1/16 wiggle room but never comes off the tanks inner lip at all so always makes a decent seal. So it's great for Aqueons. I have another tank, I don't recall the brand, I believe it came from either Petco or Walmart 10 or 15 years ago (it's not Top Fin) and it measures just a tiny bit, like a 16th of an inch, smaller in length and width than the current Aqueons and the plastic framing is a little skinnier. Anyway it fits that one longways but is just 1/8 of an inch too long front to back. And of course that's the one I'm setting up, but I'm in good shape because I can just shave 1/8" off the trim-able back and it will fit like a glove. And as far as why I paid 8 bucks more for this over just getting an Aqueon glass "Versa Top", the black flexible hinges on the Aqueons fail and crack from hard water sooner than I feel is reasonable. And I saw a guy on youtube mention the same thing and he had ones with white/clear hinges like these that he said were holding up good. I don't know if this is the same brand and can't find what long rambling video that was mentioned in, but figured I'd roll the dice on these hoping it's the same type of better plastic. I'll report back if the hinge fails or any other problems arise. But so far seems quite nice. ... show more

  • Looks great on rimless tanks 👌
Size: 19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in
Was looking for a lid for my 10 gal tank. I had this tank for 2 years without a lid bc I very much loved the rimless look of it, and the lids I saw online had this huge black strip across them. This one is super low profile and feels super high quality. I am in love. I'm someone who likes to change up my tank setup very frequently, moving things around and re-scaping every few months during a water change. So I did some calculations, based on the length of my tank 49cm, and the length of my hob filter 18cm. If I want to be able to place my hob filter to the very right, the very left, and the very center, considering that I have lid fixtures( they hang on the corners of the lid and provide a platform for it to sit on ) that are 1.5cm, here's how I cut the back panel : 15.5cm, 15.5cm, 14cm, and 4cm. Centered hob filter: 15.5cm panel, 18cm hob, 15.5cm panel [Checking my math, 31+18=49cm) Hob filter to the very right (from left to right across the length of the tank): 15.5cm panel, 14cm panel, 18cm hob, 1.5cm lid fixture [Checking my math, 29.5 +18 + 1.5=31+18=49cm] Hob filter to the very left: just flip the order of the above orientation I figure that just putting two panels together wouldn't be too bad if it meant I had more flexibility later down the line. I first cut the panel by lightly scoring it with a craft knife, going over each cut multiple times to deepen them. Then I used my scissors and the scoring from before guided the scissors for making the most accurate cut possible. Then I spent like two hours listening to podcasts and whittling the rough edges with my blade, to smooth them out so they looked as factory-made as possible. So worth it. My brain loved this part UGH the lines look so clean and straight and I'm obsessed with my panels. Lastly I attached them to the glass by sliding them on, and stuck on the handle on the very left so it's not front and center in your face and also so my right hand has more room to do stuff in the tank and feed. Make sure the dimpled side of the handle is facing the way you want it to. I wanted to use the side where my thumb could comfortably rest in the dimple so I sacrificed a little bit of the low-profile-ness I was going for and had the flat wide dimpled bit facing forward. Might decide later to put on the 2nd handle on the right, so I'm super happy they sent two you can attach. So yeah, 10/10. Might need a thermometer soon so I can see how hot the tank is getting with the lid retaining the heat in the space, but I'm not concerned too much considering there's still plenty of space on the sides for some air movement. All in all, awesome packaging, awesome product, awesome price. 👌 I'm very happy I bought this and the wait for it to ship was worth it. ... show more

  • Great lid
Size: 19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in
Purchased this for my 10 gallon planted tank. It’s perfect - the thick plastic back is easy to cut to your filter size, and the lid opening makes it easy to feed and do maintenance. Works well with lighting for plants. It looks very nice on the tank as well.

  • It’s a good buy!
Size: 19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in
I don’t know the backing was plastic but I think that’s on me for not reading the description fully, however I did like that you could make cut outs to have customizability to your tanks wiring & setup. It does mold occasionally but only when you don’t wipe it down. With regular cleaning it’s fine. Overall worth it but still think I’d prefer an all glass lid ... show more

  • Just installed - Love it already!
Size: 19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in
It was pretty easy to attach the plastic flap to the two, already-attached glass panes. I tried sliding from the side - no go - so tried again perpendicular to the long edge of the glass pane. Easy piesy. It was fairly easy to cut the plastic the way I needed to. I found it helpful to use a sharpie to mark out, roughly, where I'd need to cut, then cut a tiny bit further to fine-tune. I used hardcore scissors - beefier than kitchen scissors - and that felt perfect. Part of why I love this already is that my fishtank is *much quieter.* There's still a little sound from the two air pumps I use, plus a little bit of a trickling sound from the two filters. The filters used to trickle loudly enough that it would occasionally bug me. I'm sensitive w/autism, and enjoy the extra layer of quiet. I also LOVE that just about all evaporated water will drip right back into the tank. My last lid, which I got as a freebie from a friend, had a lot of open space. This is luxurious and lovely. I wasn't sure what I'd do for my full-spectrum LED light. The one I bought doesn't stretch all the way across my fishtank, but I didn't want to bother exchanging it. I didn't know if I'd want to rest it on top of a glass pane (in the middle is perfect) or incorporate it into the cut-plastic section. I really like how clear the glass is, and don't want my light to fall into the tank, so I've got it standing, centered, on the middle glass pane. Perfect! The product's description is correct to tell us to measure to the millimeter. My tank (each one's a bit different) has a rim, and is just a hair, like 2 or 3 mm, too small for the glass and plastic to perfectly rest on the bevel in the rim. Oh well. Worth it! The difference makes the lid slant a tiny bit (2 mm higher on one side?), but there's no gap. Honestly, the slight slant will help evaporated and condensed water drip back down into the tank more readily. Win. ... show more

  • Great seal on Petco 10 gallon.
Size: 19.33 x 9.65 x 0.16in
Great fit and seal on a 10 gallon tank from Petco. Very minimal evaporation. Looks good and the sticky handle thing works fine once you get it mounted. Just take your time and measure it out, it will be fine.
