I am 61 and didn't buy it for my grand kid......I got it for ME. I have always wanted one but at 6 foot 2 and 190, it wasn't easy to find one (especially one that wouldn't explode) Then I saw this one. It showed up. One look and I said to myself " this is hip replacement waiting to happen ". Turned it on and when the engine noise and lights came on, I became a little kid again. stepped on it and in moments was doing figure eights in the garage. Haven't even checked out the app yet and having fun. Let an experienced co worker who uses his daily try it and he now wants one. Yes it will go fast....but only if you want it to. speed is easy to control by your leaning. highly recommend it for beginners like me and the serious rider like my friend who is now upgrading to this one. So far.....no hip replacement plans....just fun. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is hands down the best hoverboard I have ever had!! I have owned several throughout the years and this one is very fast. What made it different from the others was that it could be taken off-road. The racing sound is different but you can shut it off which is great that it gives you the option. I have been riding hoverboards for years and this hoverboard is the craziest one I've ever tried. Aside from its unique design the performance is really impressive. It's fast, solid range, and packed with features. I particularly like the lights on the bottom and the removable battery. The sound effects are cool addition too but I usually jusr listen to my headphones when riding. All-in-all this thing is a beast and I would highly recommend it to anyone willing to pay the price for a high performance hoverboard. ... show more

This hoverboard is overall wonderful. First of all, the design is very sleek and luxurious. It is super easy to use and well made. It's easy to balance on and prevents you from falling once you're on (great for first-timers). The tires/wheels are made of sturdy, hard rubber that do not need to be pumped with air, which is always a plus. You won't have to worry about your tires popping in rough terrains. The speaker on the hoverboard is also a great addition, you can easily connect to it via bluetooth on your cellular devices. It definitely enhances your experience and makes your ride a lot more enjoyable with the music of your choice. The removable battery is also very convenient and allows you to charge it without having to bring the entire hoverboard. Overall, it's a solid product. ... show more

This review is for Gyroor racing GF-1 yellow hover board The Gyroor off road and racing models seemed to be lumped together under the same listing so I would want to point out which board is referenced. Bought this for my 13 years old as a birthday present Pros: Unique looking and fast, does indeed look like a racing car Working Bluetooth speakers and app control, installed app and connected from 2 different phones, the app also controls the light setting, self balancing mode on/off and built in diagnostics Solid build with all aluminum body and excellent rubber grips on the top Despite being heavy at 33 lb it is also very easy to ride and control, the self balancing mode kicks in even before you step on it thus making mount /dismount and learning very easy The racing sound can be turned off while riding however the sound that imitates the engine rev of a racing car when the board is turned on is permanent and cannot be muted Stated rider weight limit is up to 265 lb so it works well for kids and adults alike with child / adult riding modes and speed limit settings available via app controls Replaceable battery which can be removed and charged separately from the board, also allows you to carry a spare for longer ides Fun to ride with 8.5 inch solid rubber tires which perform extremely well on smooth pavement, did not try them off road though Now the not so good part: While the spare battery is available to order at Gyroor website for about $80 (not sure about the shipping costs) the charger or charging cable with proprietary connector is not offered so if if the charger stops working or the cable is misplaced you would have to deal directly with the company The board is heavy and should probably be carried by the adults only, no carrying case is provided either although the good grip handle comes handy for this purpose After 10 days of use mostly indoors the left rotor developed a knocking sound and somewhat lost the stability making the board more difficult to control in the straight line. Since I am still within Amazon return window I decided to give it a second chance and requested a replacement. Hopefully the replacement will fare better so I will update my review later after gathering more statistics. ... show more

We ordered 2 of these for Christmas for our kids and they were a huge hit. The setting from Adult to child was a welcomed feature as my husband likes to ride with them. Our daughter (age 8) loves the bluetooth feature as she loves to jam to music while riding and she did not need our help accessing it. The lights were a hit with everyone. One of the boards had an issue with staying charged, so I messaged the company and they quickly sent me a replacement that works wonderfully and a return shipping label. Great customer service.     • A very comfort, easy and smooth ride
This is an amazing hoverboard and looks like next gen. The ride was so smooth and I could go very fast. This is my first time to use a hoverboard and never had trouble balancing myself. The speaker quality is good, I just wish the volume could be better.
