I purchased this to complete crate training for my dog (Alaskan Husky). He was really attached to his crate, I was really trying to get rid of it but, I knew that he needed “his own space” so I purchased this along with a dog bed that fits inside. I keep this dog house inside of my home in the living room. He loves it and is in it all the time, so if you love your dog enough and confident that they will use it, it’s 100% worth it. Plus it looks good. HOWEVER, the reason for four stars is for two reasons. One, being that the hinges are trash. It’s a cool concept that it opens up (which it does) but the screws that they give you are NOT big enough or strong enough, so whenever you open it the hinges come off, so you need to use your own screws. Also the “asphalt” roof I personally don’t think is actually asphalt but, it flakes. Asphalt pieces constantly fall off, if you rub your hand on it they will flake off immediately. Also setting it up by yourself could be tricky. Other than those things it’s a solid product. My dog weighs around 70lbs and he is very rough. He jumps into it, tosses, turns… he loves this thing and that to me is worth it. ... show more

We love the dog house itself. It’s sturdy and the dogs are comfortable in it. Be aware that the plastic flaps used across the opening are NOT chew proof. I got this house specifically for my husky who eats everything. He ate one of the plastic flaps and has had to go to the vet for surgery. I hope to save someone else from having to do a $3,000 surgery! ... show more

Unfortunately less than an hour after putting together my dog figured out how to chew on the the plastic door cover and pulled until she pulled it over then proceeded to chew on the floor and walls. Not happy after spending the money, for it to end up a toy box that i have to keep away from her so she doesn't completely tare it apart. ... show more
