**update** *Second season {'25}: Worked great. I'm still learning best temps and how to best schedule it with a variable speed pump since the heat pump needs a certain amount of water flow to continue operation. What i settled on this season was running the pool pump slow over night so the heat pump wouldn't run. I would then have it running 9am to 9pm. On the weekends sometimes I would get it running at 6am by the turning up the speed of pool pump. Usually had the heat set for 84 and it ran great like that most of the summer. Of course as it got colder out,I would need to adjust for more time/higher heat. But still no complaints. Only had an issue once of two days where it said "no flow". I reached customer service straight away and talked to an actual human who spoke English believe it or not. They were very helpful and I was about to get someone sent out to look at it when lo and behold it fixed itself somehow. 2 great seasons in the books!* For it's first season, it's operated exceptionally well. First day of use, water temp was 72. I set the heater to 87. 24 hours later, it was at 82 degrees. This was northeast spring weather at about 70 degrees. Over the summer, I experimented with different temps. I found that 85 is a nice setting. It would run early in the morning and never have to run the rest of the day. Then it would automatically turn on early am the next day. I have a variable speed pump which runs 24/7 at 3 different speeds. Be careful as the heater requires a minimum water flow to function. I found it was turning off overnight, and that's because I had the pool pump set too low. After figuring out all the ins and outs, I settled on 85 degrees for the entire season. Some weekends I had it up to 90 if we wanted a little more heat. Something to think about that never dawned on me until after the fact-when you're in water that's warmer than the air, you're going to be pretty chilled when you first get out. Sometimes we were shivering. This was especially noticable at night. Get some nice "hot tub robes". You'll thank me later. So far, I believe this heater will allow me to open one month earlier, and close about one month later. And on top of that, many more swimming days {and nights!} in season. Many summers we didn't even swim until end of June/early July. Those days are over. Very happy with the purchase so far

Well just decided to take a look at this new heat pump…had to take cover off to get manual out. The company should be ashamed of themselves for using such cheap pins to hold cover on. The Three pins were put in at an angle because holes do not line up… a bitch to get cover back on, shouldn’t be that difficult to of position them right in manufacturing process. Shake my head….. hopefully that will be the only issue

We have a 27 foot round 52 inch deep pool this heater works great and easy to operate. Did not notice a huge increase in the electricity bill. Glad we purchased it.

The unit has a fantastic copper exchanger, and it is very efficient. We use it to raise the water temp by up to 9 degrees. A gas unit would work faster and further, but, gas wasn't available to us. We are really glad to have had this as an option. However, this will leak copper into your pool upon your first use. This reacts to chlorine and can cause your water to look green. Leslie's NoMetal cleared it up in a matter of hours, and it hasn't come back since.

Started out with a Raypack but felt uncomfortable with a basically unknown brand with POOR reviews. I decided to order this GulfStream Heat Pump after further research and found out not only is Tropical Supply pleasant and helpful, they're incredibly knowledgeable and selective about the items they offer. GulfStream themselves are unbelievably cool! When you need good old AMERICAN Customer Service look no further. Finally the dealer and manufacturer who are completely American, helpful and knowledgeable in Amazon and ACTUALLY HELP YOU! As for the heat pump itself, it's AMAZING. My family describes it as, "swimming in bath water", that's how efficient and working perfectly my GulfStream is performing. Look no further. UPDATE: Had an issue with the main board and the WiFi board, called CS and the sent out a brand new majn board and brand new WiFi board at NO CHARGE VIA EXPEDITED SHIPPING. Non existent warranty support!!! Left several voicemail messages and submitted 4 tickets. Less than 6 months old! Zero support. Ghost of a company. My next call if the FL Attorney General office!

The heat pump was very easy to install on my 36,000 gallon Gunite pool. Once installed, the heater raised the temperature from 66 to 76 in about 24 hours. This exceeded my expectations. My pool area is very shaded, and my pool only receives full sun for 2-3 hours per day. So far the heater only runs for a few hours each day to bring the temp back up to 82 after it drops overnight. My only complaint is that I wish it included the "optional" wifi kit.

The electronic controls are easy to use. It’s slightly louder than our old one but tolerable. If we can get 20 years out of it as we did the last one that’d be great. It was dropped shipped, we then got some help and dollied it to the back yard. Plumbing was easy but I did have our electrician wire it so not to void the warranty.
