This does not leak, it will break easily though. I'm purchasing another after the dog broke the glass on the last one by running into it. So, definitely worth the price for a non leaking bottle. Make sure its not placed on the cage in a place that risks accidentally knocking it.

Purchased 3x, and two broke. Amazon returns wants me to send broken glass via mail. Not worth my time. The design will almost certainly cause a crack as it puts a lot of pressure on the metal nozzle and then the glass around it will feel the effect. Glad I caught it because I don't want my chinchilla chewing on glass in worst case scenario. I'm confident if you purchase this, it will crack, water will drain, potential of your pet getting glass in or around the cage... expensive and not worth it. Only reason why I bought 3x is because I have a very large cage and put two in different sections. Then bought another after the first broke thinking it was a fluke. Needless to say I am switching them out today before the third breaks as well. Amazon doesn't like the idea of a refund without a "proper inspection" after providing photos, so leaving a review instead. Don't purchase.

My daughter has 2 Guinea pigs. Their cage has been soggy from leaking water bottles for months. It's been gross. I ordered this water bottle with high hopes. I ordered the twenty ounce, but unfortunately it arrived broken. With hopes still high I sent it back to exchange for an unbroken one Even though they sent the ten ounce instead, i am so thrilled with this water bottle! It truly doesn't leak. Every single other bottle we have tried leaked, and we tried them all! Since it took so long to get it exchanged. I'm not returning it for the correct size. We will just have to refill it more often. Who cares, it doesn't leak!!

The media could not be loaded. I really wish I could give this 5 stars, as the first bottle I purchased in December was, and still is, perfect. It is a little confusing first figuring out how to hang it outside of a cage that has horizontal bars but is very simple once you get used to it. Unfortunately, of the 3 I have gotten, only the 1st one is still usable. 1st Purchase: It arrived properly packaged and has been such a favorite water bottle for my chinchillas to the point they ignore any other bottles I have placed throughout their cage. Super easy to clean, easy to remove/put back on the cage. Still works flawlessly as of this review having purchased it back in December. 2nd Purchase: Could hear the shards of glass rattling around just picking the box up after delivery. Arrived so completely shattered I couldn't even take it out of the box. Returned without any trouble. Replacement for 2nd Purchase: Arrived with glass intact though had slight crack in rubber in lid. Glass cracked by the metal straw after ~2 weeks of use. I am lucky that it did not crack enough to leak water into the cage/get my chinchillas wet. I really do like this bottle, but with how easy it is to either arrive completely destroyed or get cracked even when the animal only has access to the straw and no other part of the bottle, I just can't recommend wasting money on it.

The water containers themselves are fine, simple and do the trick. However the metal holder that holds onto the cage is absolutely a joke. It does not hold the containers without them sliding every where. If it had better securement to the cage it would be a higher review for sure.

We put this in for our new young rats (prob about 2 months old) and I thought they were getting it but after 2 days of having them (and they don’t explore enough to find the other bottles yet), I just offered a small cup of water to them and they jumped on it and drank for quite a bit. I think they have to be big/strong enough to move that needle piece, but young rats may not be able to, so please keep that in mind. I still like the bottle. It doesn’t leak, it’s beautiful, it stays clean but I’ll be setting out other options until they get it down. Even if they never prefer it because they have easier options, they still just need water, my preferences be dammed

My 24yo African Grey parrot has used a typical standard gravity fed water bottle since he hatched. I'm the last few years, he developed a regurgitating habit while drinking from the ball-in-tube water bottle, causing a mess that wasn't just disgusting but was also unhealthy as my fear was that he was dehydrating. After doing some research I found this water dispenser and thought I would give it a try. It did take him a couple days of me showing him how it worked by physically pressing his beak onto the trigger that releases the water until he finally figured out how it worked. Honestly, I thought he was a little smarter than that but that's another story. Now, he uses it all day everyday and absolutely loves it and I love it just as much! The water stays crystal clear without getting any food particles in it the way the old school water bottles tend to do. These are easy to refill and can be moved around the cage easily as they hang on any horizontal bars so it's definitely a wonderful product! I will say, I had to place a perch inside the cage to block the top of the water bottle because he would continually take the top off the water bottle through the cage bars and I didn't want him damaging the seal. Just keep that in mind in case you have a mischievous parrot.

The first one showed up broke & it was exchange easily. New one showed up and hooked it to the cage so far so good. Last night I went to take it off and it broke in my hand. I have used other glass bottles and have never had this problem. Be very aware these are thin cheap glass water bottles
