[Construction]Poly Tarps are typically made of multiple layers with a woven mesh fabric sandwiched between two or more polyethylene sheets. [Reference Parameter]Tarp Thickness– This is the actual thickness of the tarp measured in mils (1/1000 of an inch). The larger the number, the thicker the tarp. Typical light weight tarps found in most retail or hardware stores are about 4~6 mils. If you are planning a heavy duty use, such as covering a carport, consider a heavy duty tarp at 10 to 12 mils or a super heavy duty tarp at 16 mils. Reinforcement– Tarps have additional reinforcement around the perimeter of the tarp to help prevent ripping and tearing.Perimeter rope– This is a rope which has been sewn inside the hem at the edge of the tarp to add reinforcement strength to the tarp.Hem– The hem is formed by folding the edge of the tarp back onto the tarp and then stitching the entire hemmed area. [Warning]Flammable. This Product will ignite and burn if brought into contact with an open flame.Suffocation hazard. Do not allow children to play with tarp.

It's alright. Don't expect heavy duty, because these certainly aren't. If you don't have any sharp edges to worry about around where you'd use these they work just as good as any other tarp cover, but they are super thin.

GUARD SHIELD Tarp White 8x10 Feet Multi Purpose Waterproof Poly Tarp Cover 5mil (2-Pack) These worked out perfectly for our needs. They were light to medium weight and the color being white, it allowed light to come through and keep things bright inside. We only used them on this rainy, windy day at the park and used bungee cords to tie them to the posts of the pavilion so we were protected from the weather, they worked out perfectly, keeping out the rain and withstood wind some strong wind gusts of up to at least 25 mph. The metal grommets held up and did not rip out of the plastic tarp. Though it was terrible weather for an outdoor event, were still able to enjoy my Mom's 90th birthday party, the tarps saved the day! Afterwards we took them down and let them dry out for a couple of days then folded them up for storage, easy! ... show more

Its as THIN as the standard BLUE tarps. I could of went with the cheap Blue tarps for much less but I needed a certain size and in White. The size is perfect for my need. The durability on this is THIN so it won't last longer than 1-2 summer heat seasons. It does protect from the sun. The gromments are good. Just dont over stretched these. ... show more

It doesn’t come with a cover that lifts up when you open the back hatch door, so this black tarp covers everything so no one can see my “trunk stuff”.
