CURT boat winches can also serve a number other winch applications, though they are not designed for vehicle towing. This CURT hand winch or boat winch features a capacity of 900 lbs. with a gear ratio of 3.25:1. It has a hub diameter of 3/4" and a handle length of 6-1/2". Bought this to replace a Dutton Lainson DL900A winch on my boat trailer. Mounting holes are a perfect match. It includes the strap, which makes it a great value. The finish is the same as the original winch. Bolts for mounting the winch are not included.

I used this to make a 'bench' for pulling non-ferrous wire through a drawplate to make it thinner, or a different shape. It's actually overkill, but works like a charm. It's all steel, except the plastic handle which is pretty thick. The belt is good quality, too. What more do you want?
