  • Good Replacement for Size 49 or H8 Battery
Size: H8 / Group 49
The massive Size 49 or H8 battery is a PITA to get into battery boxes in the trunk of Euro cars but that's not the battery's fault. This came complete with the plug for the unused vent hole, some don't. Perfect fit. I did charge it overnight before installing as it drew 6 amps when I tested it on the charger. Fired my Jag XF up easily and restored the ROAR. Great option for Euro cars that need big batteries. ... show more

  • Very good fit AGM affordable battery... time will say.
Size: Group 34 / Group 24
I bought this battery end of March for my old 2011 Jeep liberty. AGM more recent technology seems appropriate for it and should charge correctly with about 14.5V from the alternator. Living in the Seattle area, I am hoping for a better life span with the moderate northwest humid weather (28°-90°F). Previous battery, a conventional lead acid branded Interstate, lasted more than 8 years, accordingly the challenge is so high that I'm afraid the car dies before the battery. First battery I received was hit during transport, must have been hardly thrown up side down because the packaging protection was very good for the sides and low part but weak on top around the two post connection poles so one was bending and sinking into plastic case. I informed the vendor, he did correct the packaging issue adding plastic covers on top of the poles while sending me a new battery, thanks so much for this. After controlling the voltage, I installed that good battery about 2 weeks ago, perfect fit, no charge and it worked right away. So far so good. I read some customers didn't get a long life span from it so I will wait 3 summers and 3 winters at least to fix my mind about reliability since the battery is 3 years warrantee. Hopefully, that was something manufacturer improved also. Actually Marxon seems based in Singapore but their car's batteries look alike the brand Uplus which is based in China. Marxon have a lot of energy storage Lithium devices (home, solar, bike) so if these company don't own each other, I suppose they have an agreement with Uplus to complete their catalog for a full proposal for their customers. TBC in 3 years hopefully. ... show more

  • I am impressed, and that ain't easy
Size: Group 34 / Group 24
I bought this three months ago with some trepidation because of the unknown brand and a price so much lower than any other AGM battery I could find. It's performing flawlessly. And by performing, I don't just mean that it starts the car reliably. I have been into cars, electricity, and electronics for 65 years, so I know how to measure and monitor. There is a simple method to known what the percentage of charge a battery has by reading the voltage after a full charge and then getting rid of the "surface charge." Let it sit overnight, or turn the headlights on for a minute. You then read the voltage and compare it to tables that are available on the intertubes. Conventional lead acid and AGM's have different charts. This is a good tool, for batteries of any age. For this new AGM, my concern was that for an AGM to reach 100% capacity, it requires a bit higher charging voltage than the conventional lead acid. However, using the method described above, this charges to 97-98% just fine. I made an experiment possibly of interest to fellow auto nerds. I discharged the battery by leaving the lights on for a few hours until it dropped to 11V. The starter relay just clattered. I put a charger on and got it up to 11.2V, and that 3.7L V6 just spun right up. (A not well know fact is that conventional, no maintenance batteries lose a heck of a lot of their capacity if you let it run down EVEN ONCE! You buy an expensive battery and just leave the lights on or something, and there goes half of your investment. However, an AGM is inherently a deep cycle battery, which is the reason I went AGM.) Speaking of chargers, I bought the following unit and have been beyond impressed. Not only can it charge to AGM specs, but it does an amazing reversal of aging on older batteries. I have rejuvenated so-so batteries to literally good as new, per the tests above. www.amazon.com/dp/B0D7Q2SXFQ?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2 The warranty is also very good, although as we all know, in this day and age, sometimes they are hard to activate if needed. We shall (hopefully not) see. ... show more

  • Great battery for the price.
Size: H8 / Group 49
So far so good. Arrived in record time and charged using my trickle charger after about 6 hours. This battery was at least half of the price of comparable batteries and required minimal effort to change it out. I have a 25 year old Mercedes Benz and couldn't justify spending $350 to have a local shop replace the battery. This was a much more affordable option and didn't take a lot of work. ... show more

  • Perfectly fine battery

I have had this battery in a car for almost a year with no issues. Still starts the car strong and keeps it's charge. Price is good for a battery this size

  • So far, so good!
Size: H5 / Group 47
First, I am reviewing the H5 (Group 47 size) battery. The form is practically identical to the other H5 batteries I have used in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT. The fit was excellent. Second, after receiving the battery, and installing it, I put a diagnostic meter on it. At that time, the reading was 38%. However, after a couple of twenty, or so, minute excursions, the battery is now reading at 100%. Lastly, the cost was 2/3 the price of the best quote I could get locally, and now I have my old core which I can redeem for store credit at my local auto parts store. The only unknown, for now, is the battery's life expectancy. The battery which it replaced lasted three days short of six years. Like the Marxon, it had a 3 year warranty, but was 650 CCA as opposed to 660 CCA. If this battery has a similar life span, it is an outstanding value. Also worth noting: the original delivery date was predicted to be almost two weeks from the date of purchase, but it arrived in less than a week. ... show more

  • A good replacement battery so far!
Size: H6 / Group 48
This fit my OEM 2.5 Yr old battery tray and the battery sleeve as well. I got out the battery charger as the battery as receiver was around 60% charge. I charged on 8amps, so not to stress the battery. I didn't have to reset anything in our 23 Nissan Rouge SL, which was a very nice surprise. Since the install last month I recharged the battery, because it was at 80%, there is constant drain on batteries with newer all computer controled vehicles, when shut off and parked. We are retired and don't drive it every day, so it sits alot. I chose this battery based on reviews, warranty and price. I could have tried to get the OEM battery replaced, but wasn't worth the battle, the dealer said it was fine. It wasn't, it wouldn't hold a charge enough so sensor errors wouldn't pop up most every trip, the load test looked OK, but my load tester was for older batterys and older vechiels, that weren't all computer controlled. So far totally satisfied. I didn't give it 5 stars, will wait for a while to see how well it holds up to the parked power drain. ... show more
