Fits well in the Ninja XL. Good cast iron quality. I have not had a chance to cook on the griddle yet but I suspect it will be like cooking on a cast iron pan.

This is a good quality welded steel pan with a coating that appears to be non-stick. However, this pan is NOT "cast iron" as the description says. Cast iron is a specific form of cookware that is cast from molten iron into a mold (usually sand.) These pans are thick and heavy, often with a granular surface. This pan is stamped from heavy sheet-steel with welded corner seams. It is a fine coated-steel pan. It just isn't cast iron. I chose to keep it even though it is not actually cast iron.

Update. 5/9/25 seller reach out and offered assistance and replacement and partial refund. Thank you for the great service. Upping the stars for this great customer service. Product has the coating pealing off or coming apart and it wobble and not flat when hot.

The heat retention they boast about is irrelevant-can’t cook with the lid open anyway because unit turns off when lid opens. And, the factory aluminum one stays hot long after cooking has completed anyway. Takes significantly longer to preheat - a huge disadvantage . It’s unnecessarily stupid heavy , a sink breaker when slippery with soap . NOT non stick or good release - even with oil / tallow etc - had to scrape residue off to get close to get it clean - still had areas that weren’t completely clean- see photo. original factory ones are truly non stick , even with eggs and the like - and are just hot water rinse / light soap and spotless . One was damaged from factory: First one of these arrived with a nice 12mm long gouge on the cooking surface that was terribly touched up with paint / finger nail polish ? at the factory - had to wait for a replacement to even try it out-and second one was scuffed on the top of the front lip as well . I say stick to factory grill / griddle plates for the Ninja Woodfire , this one is a hard pass for sure .
