This is my second greenworks mower. I upgraded from a 5 year old 21 in self propelled mower. I am extremely glad I upgraded. I am super happy with this 25 in mower. I'm not sure why folks have issues with battery life. I have a 1/4 acre (11,000 sq.ft) lawn. I bag my clippings AND I drag a heavy lawn striping roller behind. I cut at setting 5 and mow once a week. I installed two batteries, but the mower only consumes 1/2 of one battery per session. I do not have any clogging issues either. I LOVE the wider pattern compared to the 21 inch deck. It used to take 45 minutes with the 21 in and now I'm somewhere around 30 minutes for 1/4 acre at setting 5. Remember that we are only supposed to cut the top 1/3rd for optimal growth. This IS A BEAST of a machine and the self propelled function is very - maybe too- sensitive. With the older model, I used to mow at the fastest traverse (rabbit) and I started that way with this machine and it took off!! I mow around 30% speed for controllability. I have attached some photos of my setup and the lawn. I got it at the sale price. Grab one when it comes back in stock.

I recently acquired an incredible mower and after my first use, I can confidently say it’s outstanding! Gone are the days of dealing with pull starters, gasoline, and that typical lawnmower smell. The battery performance is impressive, easily powering through both the front and back yards with the self-propelled feature throughout the entire mowing process. It’s also much more manageable than my old mower. At 6’4”, I find the upright handle perfectly positioned for comfort, and the ability to fold the handle for upright storage is a game changer. I utilized the dual blade mulch feature, and it worked fantastically. I highly recommend this mower!

Amazon advertised, on its website, this statement about the Greenworks 25 inch, "This 80V lawn mower cuts up to 3/4 acre with a fully charged 4.0Ah battery (varies based on grass condition and operator technique) cut up to 3/4 acre on a single charge. To my surprise, the item was delivered by UPS and the packaging had printed on it, "Cuts up to 1/2 acre on a single charge." The question I have, did I receive an older model of the Greenworks 25 inch mower and that's the reason for the sale price and the box saying a 1/2 acre and the Amazon website saying a 3/4 acre? Hope not, cause I bought this mower primarily because of the Amazon website's advertised "up to a 3/4"...and not a 1/2 acre.

This mower is advertised to cover 3/4 of an acre on a single charge, but in reality, you're lucky to get even 1/9 of an acre; that’s less than 15% of what’s promised! It constantly stalls on grass due to insufficient power, and the lack of a side-discharge option only makes things worse. While it does include a self-propel feature, using it drains the battery even faster, further limiting performance. You can buy a second battery for $220 or more, but even then, you won’t reach 1/4 of an acre; that is less than 30% of what’s advertised. Unless you have a very small yard, this mower simply isn’t worth it.

Hoping it lasts a while but love the way it runs. The mower is powerful and power increases if the grass gets longer. Can speed up or slow down the self-propelled portion. The blower has quite a bit of power and can be slowed down next to nothing, which is nice to group clippings. So far, no complaints at all. The battery lasts about an hour - which works well for me. I cut the grass, recharge the battery while I edge. Then the battery is recharged when I get done with edging.

So far this mower has been excellent. I have .4 of an acre to mow. 1st time had height set to 4 and barley used the 4.0AH battery. Second time went down to 3 and used up both 4.0 AH batteries since it had to work harder. 3rd mow left on 3 and it completed the yard with enough juice left in the second battery to run the trimmer and blower to finish the job for the week. So far no complaints. Mows well, not near as loud as a gas mower. Easy to fold the handle and store vertically taking up very little space.

Just a heads up if you live solo and have this delivered, the box weighs over 100 pounds. I had to flip it end over end to get it inside the area where I assembled it. The instructions for assembly and use are okay, not spectacular but I've seen a lot worse. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble it. One important thing to note is this mower only comes with ONE battery even though it holds two. I was worried that it wouldn't work with just one battery installed but it does. The instructions for how to start the mower are clear, but fail to mention how to engage the blades. You need to pull back on the green bars on the inside of the handle to engage the blades. Even on the slowest (turtle) setting, this mower runs fast. I was able to mow both my front and back yards (just over half an acre) on one battery charge. There seemed to be roughly 20% battery life left when I was done. The battery seems to charge quickly which is nice. This machine makes mowing the lawn easy. It seems to cut the grass evenly.
