  • Great Lawn Mower!
Was nervous at first since we've only used a gas run lawn mower my entire life, but this mower is fantastic! Cuts really well and is actually pretty quiet. Easy to run and walks itself easily. Only recommendation is getting a second battery if you have a bigger yard because the battery will last about 40 min fully charged, I recommend walking it yourself partially if you have easier terrain because I believe it runs the battery out quicker but if you dont want to get another battery, it charges decently fast. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Electric mower works great
This product is as expected. The only problem, an extra battery is rather expensive.

  • Manual is incomplete. Must be mechanically minded to setup initially.
I'm replacing an older EGO cordless electric mower, and this one seems pretty well built, as well. Like the power, like the quietness, like the ease of starting, like the looks. Also like that the handle can be lowered from the max length, while still allowing the mower to start. (something the EGO cannot do!) I'm 6 foot tall, but most times I don't need the handle at chest high, but rather use it a bit lower. Don't like: Manual is incomplete. Must be mechanically minded to setup mower. For instance, not one mention nor one photo showing how to fold/unfold the handle! Don't like the smaller 40v battery. EGO uses a 56v battery and will mow for an hour. This one gets you a little more than halfway there! Don't like storage for a second battery (which is not included), but no electrical connection to switch to it when the first battery gets low. Ads and the manual seem to indicate that it will, but it does not. Did I mention that I Don't like having only one battery. I also purchased the edger (tool only) before discovering the mower has only one battery. I use it on both machines, but not until I charge the one I have. Don't like the confusion on batteries available. It seems that there is this40v battery and a different 40v battery for the G-MAX. Strict ad messages warn that the G-MAX battery WILL NOT fit mine. • Runs for 45 seconds and dies - EDIT update
I SO wanted to love this mower. The first 4 times I used it, it was awesome. Now it starts fine and runs for about 30-45 seconds before it dies. The power drive dies at the same time. Battery is fully charged. Key is inserted. Deck and blades are perfectly clean. Grass is very light. I even experimented trying to run it on the driveway and experienced the exact same issue. If I wait about a minute, it will start up again fine, but then dies again about 30 seconds later. The battery indicator is all green, so it's not overheating. SO bummed out. EDIT: Called manufacturer directly. They are sending out a replacement. Will update again upon receipt and success with the new mower. EDIT: Replacement mower works great. Customer service is exceptional and the return process was simple. ... show more

  • Very good mower!
Very happy with this mower! It's quiet and runs very smooth. I have read some reviews that say some of these greenworks mowers are difficult to remove the battery, I've had no issues with that at all, plenty of room to grab the battery and pull it out, need to make sure you press the release button on the battery though. The mowers drive system is strong and easily adjustable right on the handle. The mower seems to self regulate the blade speed based on perceived load by the mower. The handle folds easily for storage. The mower is light weight and easy to push. I have only used it in side discharge mode but it is nice to have the bagger option. ... show more

  • Battery Doesn't Last Long Enough
I mowed only about half of my back yard before the battery gave out. The red light came on -- the manual says that means it's hot and you have to let it set for 30 minutes before you charge it. Then it takes 90 minutes to charge. At this rate I'll never get my yard mowed. It doesn't way 20 some pounds; it weighs 75 pounds. It was easy to get set up and use. The mowing seems fine. That 20 minute battery function is going to be a problem though. Later: Battery lasts only 20 minutes. Then you have to wait for 30 minutes for it to cool off and then 2 hours to recharge. It takes me 4 charges to do my backyard alone -- 12 hours to do a 40 minute job. Another 10 hours to do the front. I just don't think this is going to work for me at all. Huge disappointment. I wonder if I can return it. I can't deal with this all summer. It's a pain. ... show more

  • No more gas mowers
This is the best thing invented since sliced bread. I love this mower. It was a breeze to put together and very easy starting it. It has power especially when you use the self propelled. The deck size is perfect for my yard. I can mow my 3/4 acre yard with two batteries but that is not using the self propelled. A third battery would do the trick. It cuts grass very quickly and evenly. The bagger is a plus it bags up the grass nicely. Overall this is a great mower. You definitely need two batteries unless you have a tiny yard. The batteries last about 30 mins and take at least a 2 hour charge. ... show more
