Have had this mower for several months now and am ready to offer my opinion ... I really do like this mower!! This is the first battery operated mower I have owned and was a bit worried when I bought it. We have a little over a 1/4 acre and our yard is mostly flat. Have had many gas powered mowers and was ready to try the battery craze!! And, I'm glad I did. The mower operates smoothly - is very quiet and light weight. Glad I did not opt to spend the extra money on self propelled. One battery will usually do the whole yard - about 35-45 minutes of run time. The height adjustment is easy - the few controls are easy - the whole process -- easy!! Loading the battery is simply. No vibration. No running to get gas in the can. No gas can in the garage. Very simple to operate and own. Does a nice job of cutting. I do the mulching option and will eventually try the bag just to see what it's like. Bought several other tools from this company and am happy with them all - and having extra batteries (the one battery fits all is a MUST and really works well). The only negative about this mower is the size - I purchased the smaller 16" cutting path and, although I really don't need bigger, it might save a little time (ok, just being a bit lazy to be honest!!). I would recommend this mower and this brand. Make sure each tool uses the same battery - just a suggestion - because it makes life easier with 3 batteries - there is always one charged and ready. (I also bought the weed eater and blower for those curious) Great product and I only hope I'm still this happy with it next year and the year after ..... happy mowing!

This little lawn mower is a workhorse! This is a light to medium duty lawn mower. Easy to use! Easy to assemble, then click the battery in (make sure the battery is fully clicked in the mower) and go! A nice clean cut! When finished click the battery out, wipe lawn mower down, fold, and store. Great for seniors, makes life a bit easier in my opinion, The batteries do take awhile to charge, I get on average about 35-40 minutes of grass cutting usage on each battery, when charging the batteries make sure they fully snap in to the charger, give each battery a day to charge. I use two batteries consecutively and have had no issues at all. The batteries are big if you have small hands. Honestly, I am glad we purchased this lawn mower! Highly recommended for those that want it a little more simpler and less frustrating!

Had a battery operated blower for several years now, bought a Greenworks weed eater, which works just as well as my gas operated weed eater, and now, purchased this Greenworks lawn mower. I always read the reviews of products I’m interested in buying and noticed when reading reviews of different types of Greenworks mowers, they were all the same reviews. I was confused as to which mower the purchaser was reviewing or talking about. So I want to make clear that this review is for the 21” steel deck, single blade, self-propelled mower that comes with 2 - 40V batteries and a charger. Right out of the box, it comes pretty much assembled already, you just have to connect the upper part of the push handle, very simple. The mower seems to be of good quality and well built. This mower has 2 ports for the batteries to go into and it will use power from one battery until it runs out of juice, then automatically jumps over to the other battery. I had no problems there, it worked like it should. The mower itself is pretty light compared to my gas powered mower. I had no problem turning or maneuvering the mower. Now, the self-propelled action of the mower is different than what I’m used to. With this mower, you push the handle down into the lower portion of the handle, like a shock or pogo stick. Seems like it’s gonna take some getting used to. I really don’t like the way this operates. I cut the majority of my yard without the self-propel on. As far as the cut goes, my back yard was pretty high, haven’t cut it in 2 and a half weeks and the mower cut through it just fine. I did not use the catch bag or mulch the grass. I used the side shoot accessory. The mower did a great job on the yard, although it did stop twice while cutting. I’m not sure if it was because of the built up wet grass under the deck, or if I let the safety bar loose while pushing, but I just re-started it, it fired right up and I continued cutting. I cut for about 45 minutes, and had about 50 to 60% of one battery left. I like getting away from the gas and oil, the smells, and the noise. I believe this will be a good transition for me. The mower is pretty quiet, which is deceiving, because you think it doesn’t have the power you need, but the power is surprising. I’m kinda looking forward to next weeks cut.

Superior product. Easy to use, more than enough battery life for 60' x 100' (less house) lot. Assembly took ten minutes. Very light weight, easy to use for someone who isn't 16 anymore. We've moved to a house with a smaller yard, so I figured this would probably be adequate. Being able to do both the new house and the old one while we waited for the old one to sell was a surprise. Bag or mulch - your choice. Works fine, no problem with maneuverability.
