The battery run-time is at least the rated 45 minutes. There is no flagging power until the batteries just stop, and they only take about a half-hour to charge fully after near-depletion. The cutting is very precise, with a narrow swath overlapped easily and seamlessly. The catcher is ample, and catches cuttings thoroughly. You can opt for a mulch feature if you don't wish to collect the cuttings. If I hustle, I can cut each side of the 1/6th acre property on a single charge of the twin batteries, and even with delay for recharging I finish the whole lawn in ca. two hours. Almost no clean-up is needed unless I forget and string trim after the mowing. When I trim before using the mower, it cleans up for me. The only minor caveat is learning not to bump the adjuster on the left front wheel while mowing. If that happens, the deck drops and may "scalp" a patch. Once awareness of that feature improves, it is no longer any problem. It is more of a user issue than anything else. The machine is very quiet. I suspect that I could fly under the radar with local noise ordinances if the thing had a headlight! This is a real piece of equipment. I bought it for tight areas of our yard and have come to use it for most of the lawn despite the 14" blade size for which I opted.

Like another reviewer, I had recurring nightmares from being a teenager and using a clunky gas mower to cut my parents’ huge yard. I swore as an adult I would never cut my own yard and smell those fumes again...but paying for a lawn service for a small, mostly shaded yard with lots of hardscaping wasn't making economic sense anymore. And now there are electric options that are more environmentally friendly. So here I am cutting my own yard (for now). This is a perfect mower for my small yard. The batteries hold a charge well and last for the entire cut, and the mower is super light-weight and maneuverable. The noise level is very low compared to a gas mower, and the best part is no more toxic fumes…just the smell of fresh cut grass. The only minor quibble was the quick-release handlebars were not so quick to release and adjust at first. But once we got them in the right position all has been fine.

Things I like: 1: Very light weight 2: Easy to start, easy to operate 3: Quieter operation than gas powered Things that could be better: 1: The cutting height adjustment works fine except for it will not stay in the highest cutting height slot, it takes only a small bump to knock it down to the second highest slot. 2: The safety lever that keeps the mower running could be designed better. Due to the placement and sensitivity it's very easy to have the mower shut off when shifting your grip when maneuvering or due to hand fatigue. Other notes: The battery charger that I received has a cooling fan that is defective. I've seen this is somewhat common. This has a somewhat narrow cutting width and the batteries take a few hours to completely charge from being depleted. At full charge you have a good amount of run-time, but with the narrow cutting width this requires more mowing time. Long story short: This mower is good to cut a smaller sized yard on one full battery charge, if you have a large yard you might require additional sets of batteries or having to take long breaks to recharge.

I had a SunJoe and it was amazing. Needed a new one but it was out of stock. I bought this one. It didn’t work right from day one. I contact the seller never heard from them. I contacted Amazon abs he said they would send a new one, to wait one week. If the seller didn’t contact Amazon they would send me a replacement. Guy said it was in his file abs I didn’t need to contact Amazon it would automatically be sent if the seller didn’t contact t them. Nothing! I was busy at the time abs I didn’t use it much. Well it has never worked right. It is awful. The SunJoe was light and the battery lasted my whole lawn actually. I loved it. But it was worn out. This one is much heavier. It cuts in and out. Did that the first day. Batteries run out. I bought this brand because I had a leaf blower from them and it is fine. Well this one takes two batteries and they are not the same size as my leaf blower. The way it is designed the front wheels seem lower than the grass catcher on the back so the grass has to push upward. It cuts out over and over and over. The wheels seem to stick in the grass. So where the SunJoe just bopped along abs with one battery charge I was done in a. Hour. I fight with this one every time. Just spent 5 hour ours abs my lawn in not half done and the batteries are back on the charger for the umpteenth time. So hard to push. So tiny how is that even possible! Well it is. I loved the chargeable SunJoe I despise this Mower. Stay far away from this mower. I wish I had of bough a SunJoe. I wish I had made Amazon send a replacement or a refund. I mean greenworks never emailed or called or anything!!!! This lawnmower is garbage, and I mean Literally and figuratively. I reported this mower cut out on day one! Amazon gets a 1/10 Green works gets a 0/10 And the mower gets a negative number it is so awful!!!!!!

So far I have cut my lawn three times and I am really liking this lawnmower. It was easy to assemble and I have tried out a few different settings, the batteries charge up quickly and it maneuvers really well. I usually use a Scotts push mower, but bought this mower to use during the hot summer days. Now I hate ro admit it, but if this mower continues to perform and remain reliable, I may never go back to the Scotts push mower. I also always have a bar of charge remaining when I'm through, this mower starts easy and isn't very loud, and the lawn really looks great when I finish, so yeah I'm giving it a 5 star rating. (but if I have any issues with it in the near future, you can bet I'll let you know.) Mike B.
