  • Powerfull and compact
Excellent Mini-ITX motherboard, Here's my experience: I paired it with a Ryzen 5700G processor and 64GB of RAM, housed in the Akasa Maxwell Pro Plus, an aluminium fanless Mini-ITX case. The combination works flawlessly under Arch Linux, providing a silent and efficient system that handles multitasking, development workloads, and media playback with ease. The motherboard's layout is well-designed, with intuitive placement of headers and ports that simplify the build process in small cases like mine. Overall, the Gigabyte A520I AC is a fantastic choice for anyone building a compact and capable system. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Solid Board.
Great choice for my 1st ITX build, the tiny Jonsboro case I put it in was very tight but every thing worked out great and so far no issues with the board, very solidly built as usual.

  • Decent Board!
Coming from an X570I it does lack a lot of features but you cant get that board again, so this was only sense-able buy imo for my AMD AM4 3600. The feature I missed the most is Overclocking/underclocking/undervolting. While you can adjust voltage and clocks, the board just isn't as stable as the x570i and I wasn't able to get my 3600 to 4.2ghz but that's not really the use case for this board so I cant fault it for that. This is one of the only 4 or so am4 ITX boards still around. Good board overall for the price! ... show more

  • Great basic motherboard but came missing standoffs
Purchased a like-new version of this board for a friend's entry-level gaming build. It's fine, totally acceptable overall though the single M.2 slot and slow wifi are inconvenient. Unfortunately the package arrived sans motherboard standoff screws so I had to scrounge up extras on my own. Otherwise great for the price. ... show more

  • Easy to use, all the features most people would ever need
It worked with a Ryzen 5600x right out of the box, no BIOS update needed. XMP profile for RAM was 1 click in BIOS setup. Plenty of fan headers and even a few RGB connections if you're in to that. The only cons are the included paperwork is just 1 sheet of paper that just shows an overview of the on board connections, but no labeling of the pin connections; specifically the front panel I/O, which has to be plugged in individually. You will have to search online for the specific model to find the actual 42 page user manual in PDF form to find the breakdown of all the specific pins functionality. No one includes driver media anymore, but you can either download drivers individually from Gigabyte's website, or download their "APP Center" application which will install driver updates for you, as well as some useful (and other not so useful) tools. Pay attention to the setup process with APP Center though, as it will try to, by default, install Norton Antivirus software. You can pick and choose which apps and drivers to install. The on board wifi/bluetooth supposedly supports up to about 450 mbps, but regardless of placement of the antenna, I was only able to get about 100 mbps upload and download speeds both before and after driver updates; my MacBook Pro sitting right next to the PC was able to get 545 mbps up/down. Your mileage may vary however. I haven't tested the on board wired LAN but it's an Intel 1gbps port so it should run at whatever your home internet is capable of. Overall solid board with no issues, ... show more

  • Good inexpensive AM4 board
After a number of system upgrades, I found myself with a DDR4 memory kit, an ITX case and a 5600G without a home. I bought this board and a boot drive to assemble a low power system. Everything I put in was recognized out of the box, Windows install was straightforward and I've had zero issues with it. It's got the a520 chipset, so it's limited to 26 lanes of PCIe gen 3. It doesn't support overclocking and has a fairly basic VRM, so it's not the best choice for gaming. It only has 2 memory slots, one PCIe slot and one M.2 slot so expansion options are limited. If you understand it's limitations and can live within them, it's a great board. For this system I have no need to overclock and the 16 Gb of memory I have in it is all it will ever need. It recognized the XMP memory timings and runs it at the advertised 3600 mHz. Sitting here typing this review while streaming video from a media server it's drawing 31 watts, including the monitors. I can use it for light gaming and I have 6 TB of storage on it backing up some less important stuff. If you're building a gaming system I'd spend the extra money for a more fully featured B550 or X570 board, but for a fast, low power desktop this is an excellent choice. ... show more

  • Was not advertised that i was buying a used or open box peoduct
Ive learned my lesson the hard way about buying used motherboards. So this time i bought a brand new one, or so i thought, again the same problems as when i bought used. I get an item that has the original box, but the product has visible damage/wear and tear. Then, even more frustratingly i cannot even build my computer because the mobo did not have m.2 screws included. Or an io shield. Very poor experience buying an obviously opened product when it was not advertised as such. Edit: i didnt even realize at first but the m.2 slot is completely broken too and there was thermal paste in the socket and the pcb by the cpu power slot was cracked and damaged. So i bought a product that is advertised new but is in fact used, broken and unusable. Worse part is its not from a 3rd party seller. So i call amazon for recourse and they offer nothing except a refund with no return. Which is a useless solution because all it does is leave me to handle their useless tech trash and leave me waiting 3-5 business days for the refund to process so i can search for a replacement. For those of you that use Amazon just to save a few bucks supplying products for your business, just don't, this is useless crap you shouldn't have to deal with. Instead of tending to your customers needs. Really wish i could do 0 stars ... show more

  • Good inexpensive am4 board
Works good a couple settings I had to mess within the bios i.e. xdm on ram to enable the 3600mhz and having to rotate secure boot from on to custom and back on to get it to register secure boot. But running this with a ryzen 5 5500 corsair 3600mhz ram and it benchmarks above average with a few tweaks. Good value good board. ... show more
