So far everything has been great. Mine shipped with the latest bios f15( bios update utility would go any farther). I'm having some weird stuff going on with my nvme ssd. Might be because of the drive I'm using ( crucial p3 1tb pcie x3) but read speeds are low. Not sure why though. Tried getting all drivers loaded and that helped a little. It might be the drive I bought too no idea. Other wise the motherboard is great. The mother board power connector is shifted down from the usual spot so that helped me with my nouvolo steck case. I love having three fan headers too. Downside is the 3rd connector sucks because you need an adapter cable to use it ( it comes with it). Just make sure you don't loose it hahaha. Currently I am running a 5600g, 16gb of ddr4 @3200mhz, and a rtx 3090. Having the GPU and cpu water cooled in a custom loop. Powered it with a Corsair sf750. It's my mini portable rig when I wanna game at a friend's house, host a server, or play in my bedroom( bigger more powerful rig is in the living room). Mini itx boards are the best! No RGB on the board itself to indicate anything for post. But it does have headers for RGB and a speaker. Like some other reviewers had some issues with a different set of ram running at xmp. But that kit might be a dud. It doesn't run anymore in my main rig. It'll be designated to package opening duties. ... show more

    • In a pricey niche market, you can do all kinds of mITX builds with this on the cheap and not skimp.

The cost of miniITX builds is creeping up as it becomes a niche market for gamers, but the truth is no body likes chonky computers. After putting off an Intel rebuild of one of my HTPCs over and over I strayed into the AMD realm and found two things, a range of affordable APUs (Ok no surprise here, I knew they were good on this front) but also quality mITX boards like this for under $100. I ended up being pleasantly surprised with how much power I ended up with here vs any old intel cpu build I would have done at any where near the same cost. The gigabyte board doesn't feature much for the performance enthusiast and it lacks anything but the most basic VMU cooling, but it still has all the things we should expect from any and every motherboard we buy today. Quality brand components, a GUI based bios, enough fan headers, Wifi, usb3.x ports galore. Of course a big score for the AMD crowd is the AM4 socket just supports several generations of CPUs allowing you to choose one for your budget. Oh and finally I think one of the biggest scores on this motherboard is the 2.x hdmi. First time I have ever used A520I AC board and am impressed...loaded it with a 5600G chip ... which is a warm running CPU ... fired right up and installed Win 11 .... worked perfect ... I usually go with x450, X570 and surprised me I didn't go with X670i but couldn't pass on price ... so far great board ... show more

    • Easy to use, all the features most people would ever need

It worked with a Ryzen 5600x right out of the box, no BIOS update needed. XMP profile for RAM was 1 click in BIOS setup. Plenty of fan headers and even a few RGB connections if you're in to that. The only cons are the included paperwork is just 1 sheet of paper that just shows an overview of the on board connections, but no labeling of the pin connections; specifically the front panel I/O, which has to be plugged in individually. You will have to search online for the specific model to find the actual 42 page user manual in PDF form to find the breakdown of all the specific pins functionality. No one includes driver media anymore, but you can either download drivers individually from Gigabyte's website, or download their "APP Center" application which will install driver updates for you, as well as some useful (and other not so useful) tools. Pay attention to the setup process with APP Center though, as it will try to, by default, install Norton Antivirus software. You can pick and choose which apps and drivers to install. The on board wifi/bluetooth supposedly supports up to about 450 mbps, but regardless of placement of the antenna, I was only able to get about 100 mbps upload and download speeds both before and after driver updates; my MacBook Pro sitting right next to the PC was able to get 545 mbps up/down. Your mileage may vary however. I haven't tested the on board wired LAN but it's an Intel 1gbps port so it should run at whatever your home internet is capable of. I don't write long comments often but I have to say this $109 mobo is impressive. I have experienced tons of mid-high-end hardware from both Intel and different mobo brands. I have some parts left so I decided to build an ITX for fun. Previously my platform is running on an asrock b550 itx, which is the cheapest B550 it. Sadly it totally died after three month and the warranty covered it (directly return to amazon, no complaints). I found this a520 which is also the only a520 itx you can find now. Oirginally I thought a520 will lack a lot of features and the mobo will be cheaply made. Surprisingly it looks great! It has a OK BIOS. Not the most complicated and advanced BIOS I have experienced, but it gives you all essentials! Ez access to fan curve, and memory frequency, and it even has PBO menu which is a big surprise! I am pairing a 5600x with it and it works just fine. MOS temp looks pretty cool even compared to my $200-300 mobos. I know it is not ez to find a new am4 itx mobo anymore but this one proves it is a good option! Hope it can last long for me ... show more
