The item is sturdy, made of quality material, and the suction force is strong and efficient. Noise levels are completely manageable. We weren't used to using vacuuming our leftovers at the start but have since gotten used to it. It saves space in the fridge and keeps the food fresh and free from contamination.

I love my Greater Goods vacuum sealer! It’s so easy to use, the actual design is very nice looking and I haven’t had a single issue with it since I purchased it 8 months ago. What I especially love is that I cook a lot using the Sous Vide method, and I also own the Greater Goods sous vide circulator. My husband won’t even order a steak out anymore because mine are the best! Just as importantly, I love supporting this company because of the charities that they support. Really does a great job on the vacuum sealing! Design is very good with the top designed not to close completely after use so the sealing mechanism isn't compromised. The bags are great too! In comparing this with another brand they are both similar but this Greater Good one seals better, is light weight and compact, the electric cord is delectable, it has a nice storage bag, and overall it is a very good product. Price is good too!! The Greater Goods support team is easy to contact if you need help. Overall a good product for a good price.

it worked fine for the first five times after i got it. Then i took it out after a 6 weeks and zero vacuum power. I had looked at other reviews and some of them that was mentioned. so, i wasnt sure so I bought the extra warranty , and now will see if they stand behind that. will update. OK THE UPDATE: Asurion insurance seems to be geared to making it so painful to make a claim that you give up. which i did. Amazon has picked this insurance partner and both after 2 hours of phones say its the other one's problem (ie amazon say Asurion should honor the claim and Asurion keeps saying that i can return it to Amazon - which after 70 days you all know is not true.) so Amazon is complicit in this, as if they wanted to fix it they would call Asurion and are the 800 lb gorilla to whom Asuriion would be responsive to).
