Although no instructions were included in the box, it's fairly self explanatory. Black rubber snaps in, does not slide-will need to cut off excess. 1 black screw each (4 total) to the clip that easily fits into the cross bar. Recommend loosen the allen screws on all clips (8 total) before install of cross bars on jeep roof- longer cross bar in the rear. Rear: Key is to slide the rear clip onto the rail from the rear rather than fight it by snapping it in place-tighten allen screws. Front: one side will slide on the rail, the other side will have to snap into place-then tighten allen. Worked extremely well and appears to hold the cargo (ladders) as necessary. Was hesitant with all the other negative comments, but it actually worked out very good!

Roof bars arrived well packaged in the box. Each item was bubble wrapped so there were no scratches. Only the long cross bars were aluminum. The end pieces that hook onto your rain gutters were some hard plastic material. The rubber strip that sits in the groove of the cross bars needed to be installed and excess length trimmed off flush to the end of the aluminum bar. Simply lay the rubber strip along side of the bar and press the rubber strip into the aluminum channel. DON'T try to feed it through one end and pull rubber strip to through the other end. You can't pull it that far even with lube. Trim off excess rubber. Slide the end pieces and secure with one screw at the bottom x4. They give you an Allen key to loosen the rail clamps and fit over the rain rail. Long bar is for the rear. No force needed. I just tighten snug but I wouldn't over tighten it. Not sure if the plastic can handle that much pressure. It'll take you about 1 hour. Fit is good. Quality is acceptable. No rattles or wind noise. I use it to mount my Thule sidekick storage box. Perfect fit.

the cross bars were easy to install and seem really sturdy. HOWEVER!!! We spent more time trying to figure out how they went on than we did on the install. One sheet with directions and a drawing or picture would have been wonderful. Otherwise five stars.

I have a Rhino Rack roof rack and lost one of the fittings to put it on my Jeep. When I called they wanted $150 to replace just that part. So looked at this and decided to try it. I was scheduled to go camping in Utah on Monday, and this said it could be delivered on Saturday, so I ordered it. Well Saturday came and went and tracking showed this still in Turlock Ca. Then on Monday it showed as being lost, but on Wednesday it showed as being delivered that day. It finally showed up Wednesday evening. Too late for me to go camping. But I've looked it over and compared it with my Rhino Rack that I paid $350 for, and it's exactly the same as far as the quality of the steel, thickness of steel, legs from this fit in the Rhino Rack one perfectly. It's essentially a Rhino Rack without the big price! The only minor difference between them is the rubber on this is flat, whereas on Rhino Rack it's ribbed. The screws on this are allan keys, whereas Rhino Rack has security screws. Whilst those did come delivered late, and I didn't get to go camping this week, I am happy with this purchase. Definitely would buy again and recommend.

Not as expected. No instruction. The longer bar goes in the back and the shorter bar in front, However the front one is too shirt and you have to install it above the front doors, but than you cannot remove the two front roof panels in the hot days. Also, the clamps installed above the doors remove the door gasket everytime you open the door. Go with a different option!!!
