I can finally sit back, tune in, and enjoy listening to my favorite radio station on iheart 680 am WRKO @ 6am with my Morning Coffee! Radio works crystal clear, and it is sharp! The set up is so easy and offers lots of preset stations or you have the option to manually tune in. You can also select podcasts! The remote control is also user friendly. I did a lot of research before purchasing and thus far I feel I made the right selection! The cabinetry and size fits great in my home!     • A great internet radio, with few minor warts.

My unit matches the current images that don't have external antennas in the rear I see on other reivews. But the internal antenna seems quite sufficient (my wifi signal is strong). I use in the kitchen, so I cannot comment on the alarm features. The unit boots up very quick and connects pretty quick to a radio station if that is what you were last listening to. This was important to me as I just want to flip the radio on and immediately hear music, like old school over the air radios. I do occasionally listen to an app on the phone over bluetooth, which doesn't take too long to select/connect. I've got no problem with the speaker quality for the size. Sure it would be nice being a little wider with 2 internal speakers for stereo. But what really degrades the sound is dependent on the selected radio station. I don't know if it's bitrate or something else, but some stations don't sound as good as others or are low volume. Stations with strong/clean signals sound fine for me as I don't expect extreme high fidelity in a unit this size at this price point. The navigation is okay - not too hard but could use improvement. Getting to presets 1-5 is very easy, 6-10 is a 2-button affair on the unit or direct from the remote. Presets over 11 are a bit cumbersome to get to. I wouldn't even bother researching/saving stations off of the unit itself. Use the Grace portal via a browser for that. I usually research radio stations of interest through google searches, and find that most of them broadcast over the internet and can be selected by this unit. The remote works fine but feels cheap compared to the unit. Overall I'm very happy with the unit. I think it's main feature is as a stand-alone internet radio. If all I wanted was to listen to apps from my phone, many external speaker devices serve that purpose. The great thing is the variety of music stations available. Good sound. Phono inputs and outputs allow connections to stereo and speakers and another input device like a CD or DVD player. USB port for iPod or hardwired internet. Grace never disappoints. Beautiful, rich sound. Updated housing. Nice display, ample presets and easy to configure controls. I am deducting one star, as the accessory speaker is not blue tooth. The speaker must be physically attached to the unit and plugged in. This defeats the purpose of the additional speaker. What a disappointment that the technology is not there at this point in time (2025; come on guys). My fault for not reading the fine print. However, at this point, one would assume that the radio and speaker are Bluetooth ready. Other than that detail, I would absolutely recommend. This is a solid radio. ... show more

    • Great replacement for stereo tuner

I live in a rural area. I have a perfectly fine FM tuner, but where I live reception is very sketchy. However as of this fall, I have hi-speed internet at my house. Being old and not very tech savvy, it was only recently that I realized I could receive radio broadcasts on my laptop. Connected to a Bluetooth powered speaker this is better than nothing, but using the laptop as a radio is not that convenient. So I went looking for a dedicated internet Radio, and eventually settled on this one. I have had it for only a couple of weeks, and have not used the capability for Amazon and Pandora or any of the subscription services. What I have used is iHeartRadio and several other services which are available on the Grace Digital at no charge. (I have Sirius for my car. Based on my initial impression frankly I don't think the selections on Sirius are any better, may not as good, as iHeart.) This radio will receive a surprising number of stations that require no subscription; far more than you could ever get by way of AM/FM broadcasts. I have been tuned to station from Minnesota (a 1000 miles from where I live!) that plays classical music 24 hours a day with only the occasional brief interruption identifying the station. IHeart has stations that do just jazz, or 60's or 70's or 80's pop/rock etc., with no commercials. The radio sits on top of my stereo cabinet right next to the Wi-Fi box and I have it plugged in using the optional cable. For the first few days it set on my kitchen table and I used it wirelessly as I was playing around with it. It worked fine. I am old. I hate touch screens. I like the manual controls. So how does it sound? Well to my old ears, pretty good. I would not hesitate to use it as a stand-alone in a bedroom or kitchen. My primary reason for buying though, was to hook up to my 80's vintage stereo system. The radio has right and left channel RCA cable outputs that I connected to auxiliary inputs on my Amplifier. I now have crystal clear radio on my home stereo system and it sounds great. Maybe there is something out there that is better, or is just as good for less money, I don't know. At some point, I will probably look into using Amazon or Pandora so I can make specific musical selections. At this point, I can't speak to using it this way. I can say I am very pleased with it for what I am presently using it for. For $200 I would buy it again tomorrow. ... show more
