A GPS tracker with "no charging required" and "no monthly fee" is a product that promises a lot but delivers very limited functionality. It is not a true real-time GPS tracker. If your primary goal is to have a simple way to log your vehicle's routes and track its location history without any ongoing costs, this product may be a suitable and affordable solution. However, if you are seeking a device for vehicle security, theft recovery, or a full suite of tracking features, you should avoid this type of product and invest in a quality, subscription-based GPS tracker with a cellular plan. The peace of mind from a true real-time tracker is well worth the monthly fee. And its not the easiest GPS I've ever used. As for how safe you'd be with one of these, IDK.. because it Takes a while to update and awhile charge.

Okay this is for all of my girls who lose their keys! Omg this little tracker is a life saver for me when my room or day has been a mess and I need a little help locating my keys. They have an audible beep that you can use in app to find your phone, the app tells you how close the item is to you which is an added benefit and it works well and consistently every time I’ve used it. It is a very accurate tracker but open opening the app you may have to give it a few seconds to locate the device and show you how close it is or not. For me this is totally worth purchasing and either placing on your child’s back or attaching them to keys. If I could put one on my phone I would! The battery life has been great so far you can check it in the app along with renaming the device so you know what you’re looking for. You can view the item’s history for where it’s been within 6 hours , 1,2 and 3 days. Do with that info what you will bit don’t get to crazy lol. Anyways get this it works well and it’s super helpful to have this little gadget.

This tracker worked very well for me, and once activated, the tracking accuracy on the app was impressive. However, the initial setup was a bit confusing—different codes were placed in different locations (on the box, in the manual), so it took me a little while to figure things out. Once it was up and running, the app was simple and effective. The best part? I haven’t had to charge it or change the battery yet. A great option if you want a reliable GPS tracker with no monthly fees.

This is very similar to "City Tag" device I also got. That one I got for my car. This was my review of that device: "I love the idea of this devise. Being able to tack down my car or nearly anything else with this tracker is ideal. However, this devise relies on an Apple or Android bluetooth device to be near it in order to tack it. That is a MAJOR limitation. I can't rely on a thief being cooperative enough to allow my tracker to use their bluetooth. This limitations renders this device essentially useless. What a disappointment." This device has one small advantage over the other. It has a silicone fob that holds the tracker. If you use it for your keys and you are within bluetooth range of them, you can make the button beep. Handy if you lost your keys in the house. If you are out of bluetooth range, then you are out of luck. I would say, not worth the investment.

SOTFKD GPS Tracker for Vehicles,Tracker Device for Vehicles,GPS Tracker,Car Tracker Device | Android and iOS Universal | No Charging Required | No Monthly Fee | Water Resistant. Well, at first, I thought it wasn’t working, because I didn’t realize you had to download a separate app. I thought we could use the FindMy app already on my iPhone, but they use something called MyTag (which my brain equated to FindMy, so that’s on me). Before I realized that, I thought maybe the battery might be bad, but I couldn’t get it open to switch it out with the 2nd battery they include (nice touch, that!). I’ve tried everything, but it’s not budging. Anyway, as I said, turns out I’m using the wrong app. I haven’t decided if I want to download theirs. All the other tags I’ve gotten work with my FindMy app. So, for now, I’m going to give 3 stars because I like the neoprene rubber keychain case it comes with, and the inclusion of the 2nd battery. I do think the price is a little high, and because of the secondary app, I can’t say I would order this, again.
