The activation was simple and the app is straightforward to use. I like that I can set geofence alerts, it’s very reassuring.

    • A Waist of Time
This device is poorly designed. Instructions only tell you how to activate the service so that they can lock you into a plan. Then once activated you see how the device never actually showed its location, even though I’m in a large metropolitan area with plenty of cell service. Custom service tells you to keep cycling the device on and off. Except the design is so weird that you set off the SOS every time you try to turn the dumb thing off. I return it and cancelled my plan the next day. RETURN POLICY - they try to prevent you from canceling your service plan even if you’re within the 15 day trial. They keep sending requests for you to respond to their email before completing the cancellation. The final step is they ask you to take a picture of the device before they’ll issue a refund. This email came hours after I had already requested cancellation and had dropped off the equipment at the Amazon Drop Off location. They then threatened to charge me $175 if I don’t complete this step. Meanwhile I had already gotten my $35 refund from Amazon, plus I only paid the $19 service fee, which I will be disputing with my bank if they don’t refund it or try to charge me again.     • Refund isn't hassle free & NOT real time tracking
Don't buy these. It takes 3 minutes to update location. We have been fighting for weeks trying to get our refund and the company says they haven't received them for "inspection" even though Amazon says they were received 2 days after we sent them back. These items are terrible and the return policy is a hassle. DO NOT BUY 🚫. ... show more

Just received this Seculife SOS Gps tracker today and I am really anxious to put it to the test. So far everything looks good out of the box, well packaged and includes the tracker, a wristband for the tracker, armband and a belt/bag clip. I was hoping to find an alternative to the apple air tags and hopefully once I get it set up I can update this review and let you know how it holds up against other name brands. I am rating it a 3 as of now because of the unknowns and yearly subscription you have to sign up for. Hopefully your not stuck doing that for all the key features.
