But the main reason it’s needed is for directions. I took it to the beach for vacation and it assisted me in getting there and navigating around that area. It works well. The media could not be loaded. The display is bright, without shade, and the HD is clear. The touchscreen is exceptionally responsive and makes it easy to make desired choices. When you make your route choice and are ready to go, the satellite is working on your GPS. There seem to be far more options to give you greater control. It also comes with lifetime map updates. Nice bright screen and seems to lock on to satellites quicker than my old one did. No problem updating the maps. It's dead easy to use, the instructions are clear and simple and easy to navigate. I bought this GPS when my old GPS died suddenly and I needed a speedy replacement. I wanted to economize on my purchase but at the same time I was attracted by extra features on the more expensive models so it was a battle to make up my mind. However once I purchased it and took a few trips I found that this model has enough capability within its less densely packed app suite to make it a really good choice. I also found its smaller screen size a help in positioning it on my windshield with the reduction in size not being the problem that I thought it would be. Overall a good little product that in retrospect was just what i wanted. 5 different modes of vehicle navigation. I needed for truck specially for my commercial vehicle driving.
