Where to start. Right out of the box when I plugged it into my computer, the manual gives a website where you can update. The website wasn't there anymore. So I guess an update isn't possible? Upon turning the gps on, I discovered it wouldn't work unless I put an SD card into it. The instructions are pretty bad and so when I did an internet search on why the gps wasn't working, I found a website that gave me some information which is where I found that I needed an SD card. After inserting it, the gps became functional. The touchscreen is glitchy. When I tried to input an address, not only does it make a very loud blooping noise with each touch, it was difficult to put in an actual address. It also doesn't seem to remember recent destinations or is able to hold favorite addresses. I did a trial run in my city to see what it would do. I DID NOT see the road I was driving on but there was a voice directing me. I put in an address that I knew well but the gps was telling me to turn around and go the other way. The only way to access this particular address was to make a left turn and so a 180 degree turn would have been in the opposite direction. Very disappointing and I have returned it and have gone back to Tom Tom. I love the new one I purchased with the 7" screen called "Discover." So much for me trying something different! The media could not be loaded. My dad is a bit old school and reluctant to jump into using google maps on his phone. So I got him this navigation unit to help him get around town easier. This GPS unit comes with a variety of accessories including a sun shade, windshield mount, charging cable, and USB cable. The software is fast and responsive and comes pre-loaded with updated maps. One of the main reasons I went with this unit is because it allows a few different languages including German. The lifetime map updates should prove very useful in the coming years. The screen is relatively larger than a basic cell phone. So maybe my father was on to something in not wanting to use his phone. Either way this is a solid buy that he is happy with. ... show more

This thing is super slow to operate. When you touch a button on the screen, it can take 5-10 whole seconds for the device to respond to your touch. Since this is just an android phone without the cellular service, you have to exit the GPS app and go into android to set things like the time. Otherwise time information on the GPS will be inaccurate. Also, there is no State field in the address search. That makes it impossible to create a route which crosses state lines in the USA. I sent it back. My cell phone does a much better job as a GPS than this Android device. ... show more

At $60 you can't beat this. The batteries in the refurbs are a little suspect but as long as its kept plugged in with only brief interruptions it works perfectly. Used for my 81 y/o mother. If she can use it anyone can. Also is easy to see during the day.

It is a nice big screen GPS and is pretty accurate for as cheap as it is. It was easy to setup and it has free access to future upgraded maps. There are a lot of settings to customize your experience. It comes with a windshield mount that holds to the glass well, but the notch that holds the GPS itself feels like it's not tight enough. This GPS has a nice 7" TFT LCD touch screen. It has turn by turn voice navigation. Displays speed limits and gives a warning when going over the speed limit. Has several features other than maps, such as fuel consumption, mileage, music, games and e-book. Comes with a car charger, back bracket suction cup mount. This is a budget friendly GPS. It does a whole lot o things I don't really need it for. But it can be very helpful but not as good as it could be. The screen is very large but is very filmsy to attach. It doesn't stay in place well and the outer screen peeled off within 4 days.
