I'm giving this lamp 5 stars, but I have to point out some things that I think could have been made better. First of all, I'm already a big fan of JBL speakers, and I own several. So I was happy to see that Govee partnered with them to create this beautiful lamp. This is my first Govee product, and it gets 5 stars from me for it's size, and brilliant 360 degree all around screen. It's size is not too big and not too small for portability. I just grabbed a backpack to carry this in and did ok with that. I would like to see a case made for this to protect it while running around with it since it doesn't have anything built into it to grab and carry. With the way it's made however, it wouldn't make any sense to put a handle on it. One more thing about the size, I would love to see one of these made in the same circumference, but taller for stay at home use. If this was made at twice the height, that would be amazing, but I won't count on it. I know it would cost twice as much, but I would buy it. This lamp is not waterproof at all. Do not get it around water. That means you can use it outside, but keep it away from your pool, and out of the bathroom. Make sure you read the guide that comes with it for other tips... such as you need to hold the power button down for 3 seconds the first time you turn it on. This speaker has decent sound, but as it only has a 10W speaker, is not extremely powerful and doesn't throw a lot of bass. With that said, I would love to see this made with two speakers and the radiators. One big speaker on top, and one in the bottom. This could really help boost it's sound. With all of that said, the trade-off on the sound comes with the beautiful screen it has that puts out dozens of beautiful light shows while you're listening to music. I love that the lamp has a top light and a bottom light and that both of them can be turned off, or just one at a time can be turned off. This is great for when you're sitting in a dark room working at your laptop and may not want all the bright light from the big screen. The brightness of both lights can be adjusted, and this lamp gets bright. In the dark, even with the light turned down to 5%, it's still a little bright. I don't think anyone will ever have any issues getting good lighting with this lamp. Just be aware it's not made to replace sunlight. It is more of a mood lamp than anything. If you are considering this lamp, GET IT! You won't regret it. Just know that the sound it puts out is about the quality of most small bluetooth speakers you can buy these days, but you will love the light shows. If you ever owned one of those cd radios with 2 small speakers in them, it sounds comparable to those. It's really great for watching videos and listening to podcasts. Listening to music may make you drag out another speaker and just play light shows on this depending on how into your music you are, but I'm satisfied enough with how it sounds to not complain too much. I highly recommend this product. I know I will be using it a lot for streaming video and listening to music. I own several more powerful bluetooth speakers, but this one is my new favorite one. It's my new friend.

I didn’t expect to like this lamp so much! The colors are gorgeous and super smooth — it instantly gives my room a cozy or party vibe, depending on the mode. The JBL speaker sounds clear and loud enough for chill music or podcasts, though it’s not super bassy. Setup was super easy, and the Govee app is fun to play with — tons of lighting effects! The battery lasts a few hours, which is fine, but I wish it had a handle to move it around more easily. Overall, it’s a really fun and stylish lamp that makes any room feel alive. Totally worth it if you like light shows and ambient sound.

Cool lamp. Has a lot of integration options and neat features. I got mine to use as a reading light and have enjoyed all the other features. The wake up alarm (gradually increasing tone and soft light) has been a nice change to my phone alarm. The scenes are nice to enjoy as well. Some of the built in audio sounds pretty bad, but others are fine. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase, even though it's a bit overpriced.

I absolutely loved this when it worked. Upon first use, the app is a little chaotic and figuring out how to schedule timers was a pain since I used it as an alarm clock. Worked pretty decently until the top/main part of the lamp’s color LEDs gave out within the first month. Crazy since I set it to like 30% brightness for like an hour each day as like a “sunrise” alarm with the apps suggested scenes (like sunrise or wave, etc). It now only has white light available. And if I wanted a basic speaker lamp, I would’ve bought something cheaper instead. In terms of the connectivity with pairing music on Spotify. I’ve got no complaints. Sound quality is super good for me. Edit: after having TWO of these break on me, I changed my review from 3/5 to 1/5. I bought a second one because the first lamp’s speakers started randomly turning on at max volume with static at completely random times. Sometimes while I’m asleep and at other times in the middle of the day even though I turned off all sounds and schedules. Well, within the first six months of owning the second, the speakers on this one started doing the same thing. I can’t in good conscience recommend this product anymore when I know how easy it is to break sitting on a nightstand and barely using its features.

It's too expensive (even on sale). Now that's out of the way. This is a nice light will so many features you can choose from especially if you have the app (you need the app). You can use it to do a light show with music and connect it to other Govee smart light bulbs or lights you might have that's really cool. You can use it as an alarm clock and set other schedules to make it do what you want when you want it. I have it on my bedside table and on full brightness it lights up the whole room so it gets very bright on normal light settings. The Bluetooth speaker sounds pretty good I actually think it gets too loud I have to put it on the lowest setting 1% if I want the music on for sleeping otherwise it's to loud. It really looks sleek and modern in the room. I've had two problems so far but fixed them both pretty quickly. The first was I couldn't turn it on when I first took it out of the box and plugged it in ( I thought I got a dud) because the power button is an actual button that pushes down and the rest of the buttons are capacitive touch buttons so I thought I was pushing the power button not realizing I actually had to push it in. It took about 20 minutes and I pushed it hard enough that it actually clicked down and I realized it was an actual button and not just a touch button. The second problem I had is the lights on the touch buttons wouldn't fade out after a few seconds like they had been doing even when the lamp was off they would still stay on and at night they are kind of bright. I had to push the power button and the - button and that wouldn't reset the device so I just held down the power button while pushing - button and a couple other buttons and it finally reset and the light when out and now fade out after a few seconds.

I generally love all Govee products, but this one not so much. The lights themselves are very nice, but I bought two specifically to pair them, and that’s where all the problems start. They don’t sync well together. One is usually significantly brighter than the other, or they’re completely out of sync. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts just to get them to turn on at the same time. Pairing the speakers in stereo mode is also more of a process than it should be. The lamps are rechargeable, but the battery only lasts around three hours, which isn’t great if you want them running for an evening. They are highly customizable in the Govee app and come with a lot of preset scenes, so the features are there, but the execution needs work. Overall, nice idea but too many bugs for the current price. I think around $80 would be a more realistic cost for what these offer.
