All of my Govee smart home products have surpassed my expectations. The app is easy to use, and the setup is seamless and easy. They work well and rarely lose a Wi-Fi connection. The rectangle design is better than the older round version. It is larger than the round smart outlets, but they don't block the second outlet. It's nice having all my smart LED bulbs and smart outlets in one app and not having to change back and forth.

I have several different types of smart plugs in my home controlling various devices. By far this smart outlet is the easiest and fastest to set up. No fuss no muss, it is really the definition of "Plug N Play". It is very reliable, never malfunctioned nor lost wifi signal. Very easy to use with their app.. Very straight forward, almost idiot proof. The smart plug acts as a Govee gateway so when I add their vibration sensors it will be no problem. Other positives of the device is it works with my ALexa, it is well designed from an ascetics point of view, the blue LED on the front is a big plus when paring, (you don't have to crane you'r neck to see the status), and has a small footprint. As for any downsizes, I really can't think of any. I highly recommend this product.

I was deceived by another review that might have been reviewing a different product or was just lying, it's hard to know. But these smart plugs do not monitor power usage. That was a disappointment. The next disappointment is that they do not integrate with the Govee hub that talks to my thermo-hygrometer sensors. The smart plugs create a distributed gateway that can take input from a number of Govee sensors--just not the sensors I already had. But the smart plugs were easy to set up and seem to work very seamlessly and robustly. By themselves you can set up a schedule or remote control (even from away from home) whatever is plugged into them (as long as it turns on when you turn on the power, which is not something you can take for granted with every device). If you are within reach, you can turn them on or off with a tap. I ended up getting a couple of sensors that do work with the distributed gateway, and I think my last gripe is really about the Govee software more than about these devices. The automations you can set up are very limited. You can take one simple sensor input and trigger a number of actions, either immediate or delayed up to 3h 59 minutes. But you can't condition on more than one sensor input. No booleans. No if-then if-then if sequences of logic. Not even functions of a single sensor's measurements (I wanted to use dew point as a trigger, but apparently that is not possible, probably because dew point is computed from temp and relative humidity) So it's primitive, but better than nothing. Maybe the software will improve and this device will still work.
