I bought this based off of reviews; I read a lot of them about this product and others like it; I am 5ft. 7in tall and this is about as tall as you can be for this cultivator; if you are any taller you will be bending over to use it; it is all metal; sturdy and well constructed; it was very easy to assemble; took me like 5 min.; if you understand this is a cultivator and not a tiller you will be very happy with this product; tillers break up large patches of unworked ground; cultivators work best on ground that is already tilled or plowed; it works great on my garden beds for keeping weeds at bay, just roll it back and forth and the ground is lovely; the patch of ground I am working to turn into a garden is a bit harder, I have to put more effort into pushing down, there is grass and roots and hard ground; I am sure after a bit of muscle it will be a good spot; it would be a better product if there was just one more piece of handle, but not sure if it would hold up to a lot of pushing force if the handle was longer; however you could adapt it to fit a wooden handle or longer metal handle; I am happy with this product as is; for me this is well worth the money I spent; it will in the long run save me a lot of time doing things the hard way;

If I could give a ten rating, I definitely would. This is everything stated in advertisement. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. It has taken the back breaking job out of weeding. States in instructions may have to wet soil before using. We tried both way and it works great wet or dry. Highly recommend their product. Can be used as cultivator but for weeding it it wonderful.

This tool is simple to put together and use. Just what we needed for our new yard. However, one of the posts comes out every so often no matter how tight we tighten the screw. I had to stop every so often to put it back in and screw it tight. Not sure why it loosens up.

I reached out to the seller to let him/her know that one of the attachments broke day one ! Closely examined it and it’s just cheap metal. Sellers get upset when you do a negative review, and insist on reaching out to them first before writing a review. Thought I was doing the right thing and only wanted a replacement attachment. No response from this seller. The product is garbage ! Do what you want as a consumer, but I’ve learned my lesson. I’m going straight to the reviews let all that’ll read my review not to buy this product. You’ll get no response from the seller. Unless they’re upset you wrote a negative review. Don’t waste your money !

I ordered this to "rough up" clay soil under rogue grass that I had killed with weed killer before reseeding. I also hoped it would pull out at least some of the dead grass. I did not want to buy a powered cultivator as I really hope I wont be using it too often and the area is fairly small. Anyway - you can see in the picture to the left is that a couple of passes of this pulled up a reasonable amount of the dead grass and (what you can't see easily is) the "tilled soil". This simple yet effective cultivator broke up the soil quite nicely. I was quite surprised to find this arrived in a box that fitted into my mailbox! I was worried at first that this was just the head piece (although I do have a spare broom stick I thought I could use). In fact, there is a very strong metal handle that securely screws together (they provide loctite to help seal/fix in place). You have to assemble the head too, by inserting the tines into the head and tightening thumbscrews - a very simple job. Once assembled the complete unit is very strong and feels more expensive than this unit is. All in all it fits the purpose I ordered it for completely. If you have an acre to till - this is not the item for you but for smaller targeted areas this is perfect. In fact I will be using it in my borders to loosen the soil their too (something I wouldn't have worried about before getting this) All in all a great product for a great price.

This cultivator is made from very sturdy materials but I had two issues while putting it together. First, the threaded hole in the stem and the unthreaded hole in the pole did not line up with the handle fully inserted in the stem (the pole was a little too long). I attempted to file down the top of the pole and even tried to enlarge the hole in the handle but ended up having to use brute force to get the screw to go in. Hopefully the screw isn't stripped. It seems solid right now. Also, once assembled, the handle had a slight bow to it and the hanging clip was not properly oriented until I used what I would call excessive force to get it rotated into position. If it wasn't for those two issues, this would have gotten 5 stars for sure.

I was pleasantly shocked when I received the package. It had some heft to it. The cultivator is so easy to assemble, even a cavemen could do it! Once assembled there no wiggle or movement in the handle joints or the head that holds the tines. The tines are also very sturdy and really dig into and break up your top soil layer to get a nice contact bed for your seed. If you are a Garden Weasel or Fiskars fan and are shopping new or a replacement tool, give Rocklin a try. I am very glad I did!

I have decided to replant my back lawn but don't want to use grass. I want to replant with clover seed. This means trying to stir up the existing grass. This rotor tiller is perfect. Even though it is manual, it digs well allowing me to plan seeds much better than simply spreading and hoping for the best. This tool is easy to use and very sturdy. Well worth the money which I believe was a fair price to start with. I know I will be using it for other projects come spring.
