Handle or head was cut to small or too large. .10 thou gap between handle and head. Quality control seems to be lacking. Otherwise made well, smooth and hard wood. When I get handle installed will put it to work.

Perfect for “Stakeouts” — If You Know, You Know
I picked up this Wooden Mallet for a simple woodworking project… and immediately realized it was destined for a much nobler purpose: my vampire-hunting kit. Solid beechwood, nicely balanced, and polished enough to look classy while delivering a righteous thwack to the forces of darkness. It’s sturdy, comfortable to swing, and — while not officially rated for supernatural pest control — it handles both furniture assembly and late-night undead encounters with equal enthusiasm. If you need a mallet that doubles as a tool and a prop for your next “stakeout,” this one deserves a spot in your kit.

Lightweight hammer suited for fine tasks
200g mallet with the classic wedge-fitted head. Yes folks, they're built this way on purpose, so you can replace the handle. It's too small for heavy work, but for light tasks, it will provide fine control for chiseling

It is not the same as the one in the pictures
It's super lightweight. I don't know what wood it's made from but it doesn't seem to be beechwood because I have a beechwood hammer and it looking nothing like it. Pay attention to the other reviews when they say "I thought it would be bigger" it's very small one could say it's a child's toy because that's what it looks and feels like.

MISSILE LAUNCH!
Nice heavy mallet BUT… The head isn’t solidly connected or glued to the handle. So you’re pounding along, And the next thing you know, you reach back and the hammerhead goes flying off your shoulder! Forewarned is forearmed!
