We got them on 2/7/2023 and initially loved them. Had a blast playing with the colors - it was easy peasy. About three weeks ago they’d randomly change colors….I’d go back and reset the colors. Yesterday they reset again - to bordello red. (I’m sure our neighbors have loved that) And they would not reconnect to the Bluetooth. We tried everything. Other phones - everything. Unplugged and deleted and tried again. They returned to white but would not acknowledge any Bluetooth. We had the connections in waterproof boxes so we were careful on all levels. I’d expect for the price for them to last longer than a bit over 2 months. I’ve messaged the company and now I’ll wait and see how much they back their products. I’ve owned other Govee products and been happy so this has been an unexpected disappointment. Will update. Wow…within a few hours I got an email back and item is being replaced. After trying a couple things that didn’t work to fix it, they sent me new lights. Arrived 2 days later. They work perfectly. Update: amazing customer service. Replacement works great! Very happy with the product and company. Second update (four stars): the company reached out after seeing my update and sent a replacement with absolutely no hassle. I'm super impressed with the customer support. When I receive the replacement, I'll update again on how those work. Updated to two stars: they say they are waterproof and can be in cold weather, but they stopped working after the first winter. They are ok. Not very bright, but are acceptable with certain scenes (illumination is the brightest). More for ambience than usable light. I like the app used to control the lights, but Bluetooth has its limitations.

These are great! I love them. I put them up for Christmas and instead of removing I just changed the color to a soft yellow to illuminate the house at night. They are Blu Tooth and not WiFi so to control you have to be nearby. I used the timer options on the App to get around this issue. I programmed them to turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, works great as I don’t have to do anything. The app has a lot of cool pre-programmed settings and color variations such as season, mood, celebrations, Halloween, and Christmas 🎄 . It also allows you to create your own color combinations and patterns, which I really haven’t messed much with because the presets are good enough for me but it’s an option that’s available. I liked them so much I bought an extra set to completely put around the house and not just the front. I recommend! ... show more
