I got this for myself for my birthday. It is so easy to use, just thinly cut up whatever you want to dehydrate and put on the trays. I am now able to "save" fruits and veggies that I was tossing before because they were going too ripe. I put the dehydrated foods in mason jars and pop them in the pantry. Fruits are especially good in cereal and oatmeal. I'm excited to try more things. The machine itself is quiet and needs about 8-10 hours to do its magic. It sits nicely on a counter or the floor. Its noise to work is like a very quiet fan, and you can use it with other normal household things going on. We watched a movie (open floorplan house) while it sat on the counter and we didn't even notice it. The only thing that I wish that it did was turn itself off when it is complete, but it beeps loudly (shrilly) and keeps doing that until you come turn it off. Great machine that will over time save us food and money!

This dehydrator makes creating my cookie much more efficient! nocrumbleftbehind on Etsy. It seems very well built. Neither too large or too small. There are several trays that slide in and out making moving my cookies in to dry between base and detail coats so easy! It is whisper quiet and simple to use! This is the first one I have ever own. Based on others pictures I thought it was going to be smaller. However, it's a lot bigger that I expected and I couldn't be happier. After plugging it in, I was amazed how quiet this is. It's going to be great to run while we are sleeping. Great bang for my buck and being my first dehydrator. It has plenty of trays to get some good stuff going. Easy to use right off the bat.

I bought this product primarily to dry fruits/vegetables and meats. I haven't had a chance to dry any meats yet, however I have had a chance to dry beets (for chips) and mangoes. Overall, this is a decent dehydrator, however it has a few drawbacks. Cons: 1. The heat distribution leaves a bit to be desired. I strongly recommend you make use of an external thermometer when drying meats to ensure the correct temperature is reached. In my experience the highest temperatures are at the back of the unit (closest to the heating coil). The front of the unit can be 5-10 degrees cooler than the readout on the display. 2. The racks are an absolute pain to hand wash with their intricate small openings. The manual says the trays are not dishwasher safe, so you're stuck doing it by hand. This can take quite some time. Pros: 1. Simple to use (I cannot stress this enough) 2. Quiet. I can barely hear it even when I'm in the kitchen. 3. Large internal space (Holds about 3 beets or about 4 mangoes for drying) 4. Exterior is fairly cool even after many hours of running (I ran for 28 hours straight)

Why spend many hundreds on a brand name 3D printing filament dryer when this works great and has room for many reels. I tested the temperature accuracy with a Fluke IR probe and it is spot on within a Deg C. Definitely recommended. Oh yea the silly fixed Deg F settings happen to settle out on 5 Deg C increments exactly. I only wish they allowed the setting of Deg F vs C but I put a printed tape label on the top with the conversions. No I'm not a Centigrade freak, but face it everything in 3D printing is in Deg C.

Just got it but have already made 2 beef jerky 1 chicken jerk and banana chips. Next is apple and strawberry for homemade trail mix. The jerky is awesome - you can develop your own recipe - mine was liquid smoke and Worcester for one batch and general tsao sauce for other and chicken was herb and garlic . Can’t quit eating it! Gonna need more soon! Quick prep time and EZ clean... what more do you need? This is going to be a great Christmas gift for anyone who wants healthy snacks and cheap snacks. You don’t want to put filet mignon in there! Recommend-a-Mundo!

I purchased this as a large filament dryer for 3D printer filament. I have to say, it works like a charm and looks darn good in my office. Fits 3-4 standard rolls of filament (1KG) and the removable shelves are sturdy enough to hold them and also makes it so you can put less large rolls and add some smaller rolls on another shelf. Only note that I knew about going in but would have been a cool feature is that the temp. settings are presets and not customizable, so it you want say 145F you will need to choose from either 140F or 149F. Not a huge deal but something to consider for those that will use it like me. Thanks for a great quality product!

Ended up returning this dehydrator - none of the buttons worked and if they did it took many efforts to get it to register. I do not recommend this machine.
