We have learned a lot about scooters after buying the Eclipse. At first, it was frustrating because we had a rear tire issue, but we are glad to have been forced into a learning curve. The one thing that I would like to say up front is GoTrax, while not always fast, has a desire to work with and please the customer. Something rare in today’s industries. They have persistently reached out to me, even when I was busy and did not respond right away. They were determined to correct our issue. I would not hesitate to buy any of their products again. The Eclipse is up and running and we are loving it! It handles my husband’s 6’ 6” -220 lb. frame very well. We rode our scooters (Eclipse and G4) in downtown D.C. and kept up with traffic at our 20-mile pace. No problems at all. The upside of the Eclipse over the G4 (we own 2) is that the handlebars are wide enough to put a cell phone holder on which is a huge help when needing to use maps to navigate new urban terrain. It also has a higher weight limit. The G4 picks up faster, but it is a lighter scooter. Both reach 20 mph. Here is what we recommend for replacing the back tire if/when needed (this will take an hour or so your first time): These inner tubes work on the 10” Eclipse tires, I ordered backups: Amazon.com : RUTU 10x2.50 Inner Tubes - 10" Scooter Tube Set Compatible with Electric Scooter, Smart Self-Balance Scooters & Boards - Butyl Rubber Tubes with TR87 Bent Air Valve & 4 Dust Caps - Pack of 2 : Sports & Outdoors Tools that really helped change the inner tire tube (really are necessary so you do not puncture the inner tube putting it on: Amazon.com: 50 Strong Bike Tire Levers | Set of 4 Ultra Strong Tire Spoons | Made in USA | Easy Grip Interlocking Design | Must Have Bicycle Accessories & Bike Tools | Premium Tire Tools : Sports & Outdoors Be sure when changing out the tire that you spray the inside rim with a soapy solution. We used a mixture of liquid laundry detergent and water. We tried putting on the tire without this and punctured the inner tube. Also use this to check the inside of the tire for any imperfections that might rub on the inner tube. We went through two inner tubes figuring this out. We were thrilled when it all worked out and like I said, we learned a lot in the process. Personally, I love this scooter. It is built much better than other entry-level scooters especially because of the rear suspension most scooters at this price range don't particularly have. The first thing you notice out of the box is how well they have shipped it and just overall how easy they make assembling it. 
The first thing you notice and that I really love about this scooter is the weight distribution, picking up and moving this scooter is quick and easy with a really simple and lock tight folding mechanism. The fact that the battery sits on the base is what allows for this and it's great. 
Another thing that is great is the big solid tires that come with this scooter, they allow for an easy ride where you don't have to worry about a flat tire and are big enough to take the worry of hitting potholes easier to subside. Personally, I don't think you could find a better-built electric scooter at this price range, the suspension feels really nice whilst riding the scooter, and is probably felt even better with a seat attached. 
The frame is another thing I would like to mention, the handlebars are wider than my other scooter and feel better to ride with as it allows for more instability, the back fender being tight and reinforced my metal is also something I love a lot, the other scooter I had it would wobble and make noise, and honestly, I thought after a while it would have cracked and or even snapped off in a way.
There is a lot of pros without many cons, I honestly can't find a part of this scooter I personally don't like. Everything aside, for a scooter at this price range I would give it my all and say that it is a 10/10, 5-star review for the scooter, I have had absolutely no issues with the scooter, and every time I ride it I only feel inclined to ride it more and more. ... show more

We purchased 2 scooters in July 2023. Apparently only a 1 year warranty because they were purchased from Amazon. 6 months later they had to send a brand new scooter because it stopped working. 1 year later and with that same scooter, the battery died....and only 99 miles on it. $700 for a scooter we have had nothing but problems with, including the replacement, and they wont do anything but give me a 10% discount on a $280 battery. I am very disappointed and will never buy from them again. Spread the word, don't buy GO TRAX, you have a 50/50 shot of your money not being wasted. ... show more
