My girlfriend bought it for me, I have been using this scooter for almost 2 months continuously now, and I have found many things about it. First is that it is quite fast and lasts me more than a week for me on my college campus where I use it to get to class every day. But the main issue I have with this scooter is the brakes. They are very grabby, and the first time I used it I almost got thrown off the front. The regen brake should be pressed very lightly to slow down slowly, but the disc brake is usually fine. Overall, this is a great buy considering the price and the fact that when the battery is above 50%, it can climb decent inclines at speed. This scooter has been a big hit in our family. It's been getting a lot of use for just cruising for fun and to get to destinations in and around the neighborhood. Overall I'd recommend this as a great all-around mix of ease of use, performance, and price. Some things we enjoy most about it: 1. Easy assembly and learning curve for using it 2. Light enough to carry and pretty simple to fold 3. Speed and battery life seem about as-advertised. It definitely feels more zippy than I thought it would be! 4. Feels solid and sturdy 5. Smooth, comfortable ride 6. The headlight is a nice touch and comes in handy The only downsides I can think of: 1. It's not waterproof, so you can't take it out when it's raining or wet out (or there's the possibility of rain) 2. There's no lock built in, so you'll need to bring a bike lock with you 3. We purchased the GOTRAX-XR ELITE Scooter last September and it has been performing well so far. Recently However, it stopped working suddenly. I reached out to Amazon, who forwarded my case to the GOTRAX Team. They have been continuously communicating and sent the necessary spare parts to address the issue. As a college student-athlete that always has places to be, the electric scooter has saved me time and energy. The electric scooter is easy to use, has decent range on a single charge, and is powerful enough to tackle campus hills with ease. Unfortunately, after the first year of use, my scooter started to malfunction. I was worried, but I contacted Gotrax customer service and got incredible support. They were responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to getting me back on the road. They quickly diagnosed the problem and shipped me replacement parts. Honestly, I like it, but I just wish it doesn’t die so quick. I usually take it to work (4.2 miles away from home) and it gets me there QUICK. But when I unchain it, and turn it on to go home, it dies before I get to my house. So be very mindful of the fact that it dies very quickly. Your best chance would be to charge it at the location you’re at. It can get you to point A and halfway to point B, without the charger, but carry the charger just in case. Everything came 95% put together in the box, which made it easier to connect. The rides are incredibly smooth, but be mindful of hills, bumps, and cracks. Some you can ride over, but some you can get SERIOUSLY injured. Also, It is FAST. Goes up to 18mph. 18mph in a scooter vs. a car are two different things. Honestly. Remember, it’s a toy. It makes great use for efficient transportation, but don’t rely on it greatly, unless you can manage the battery imperfections. ... show more

Update: 4/7/24. The customer support specialist , “Justin” continues to email me and harass me, after I asked him to stop. I wish I never bought this scooter after all. Update: 4/4/24The company has been emailing me telling me to increase my star rating to 4. I have asked their permission to post the harassing emails from them but they declined. I explained to them how the consumer should not have to diagnose and repair their broken product, right out of the box. It took months to resolve this. Updated 4/1/24 review: The company has since been very responsive and has resolved my issues. They even sent 2 accessories as gifts. Thank you Justin! This was a Christmas gift. Only 14 day return policy. Assembled console/handlebar Wires spark when connecting. Error code 25E. Solution replace console. I’ve been waiting since October for a new console. The company never answers the phone. I took several contact attempts on their website until I got a response. They asked more photos. Then they asked for Video of spinning the rear wheel. They processed a warranty only for the console. I’ve been waiting since October. The scooter is useless. Avoid the brand the customer support is very difficult to deal with. I just opened a purchase order and bought the part and I’m still waiting for both the warranty one and the one I ordered because I am tired of waiting.
