Idk why everyone’s reviews say the cheese spills out over the edges and onto the counter. It doesn’t. Just put enough to center the cheese in the middle of the slice of bread. Works perfectly someone said they let their child use this. I wouldn’t. The top gets hot use a dish towel to close it.

I was looking for a sandwich press with a safe cooking surface, and discovered this press. Something for a fun snack here or there. I hadn't had a grilled cheese since I was in my teens and have been wanting to try one that's been made on a press like this. Let me say, this made the best grilled cheese I've ever had. Way better than how I remember making them in a frying pan on the stove, and a lot quicker. Both sides toasted nicely, for me, in just 4 minutes(Tried 5 and a little to burnt for my liking. I believe recipe included says 5 minutes for a grilled cheese). Only issue with the press is cleaning it. The cooking surface is easy to clean, but whatever may leak out of the sandwich onto the exterior plastic is hard to clean off. When I bought it, I expected the cooking surface to be removable for cleaning/rinsing. Nope, regardless, I highly recommend this press. A lot of fun. ... show more

We just love this- perfectly creates sealed pockets of yummy and the kids Over 10 can do it by them selves. They have made pizza pockets, taco pockets, pb&j, stuffed pancakes and mini omelets in it so far in the week wee have had it. Absolutely love this panini press!! Thinking about how much money I have saved just this week by having this and making the hot pockets and snacks in it from home, verse buying in the store. Just the cost of the press is already returned from not buying hot pockets from the store. It’s a good design lightweight- warms up and the light lets you know it’s warm enough to cook - I haven’t burnt anything- it is easy clean up- definitely worth the money

When I was a kid in 1990, I for some reason was obsessed with the SnakMater infomercial and wanted one so badly. I never did get one, so when I saw this on Amazon, I was like, ok this is very similar, get it for laughs and nostalgia. I'm just having fun with it, making different snacks in it, but I will say the non-stick and clean-up of this machine is very disappointing. The food doesn't just "fall out" as advertised. Things stick, you have to pry some things out, and anything that oozes out gets all over and sticks and you have to spend like 15 minutes with some elbow grease to get it clean. I have never written an Amazon review, but I wish I would have known this worked this way before purchasing. I was so excited to get this for my hubby, as he grew up with one. He asked for it for Christmas so I got him one. We finally got around to using it, and have been really disappointed. It does make a GREAT crust! However, it lets all the cheese ooze out the back of the machine, and all over the counter😭 Basically rendering it useless. We have tried using it repeatedly, adjusting things, not using much cheese with the same result. We wanted to love this but just can't.
