I don't care what others may have said, let's just face it there are people out there paid to discredit others. I wanted to use this cookware for many weeks before giving my review. I followed the directions! I didn't use any spray oil, only butter or oil. I don't usually cook dry but have no doubt nothing would stick as I used the steamer a lot and small pieces fall through and stick to the side of the pan but they wipe off easily. I have never had to soak or scrub and actually could have just used a paper towel to wipe clean. I have cooked everything from pasta meals to meats, eggs, and browned potatoes with no problems. Heat distribution is superb. I had always wanted cookware I could display below my dishes and this cookware is beautiful. It doesn't discolor and looks brand new after many weeks of constant use. I read some of these reviews and really thought long and hard about whether to try it. I'm also grateful for the price. If I had seen them beforehand I would have been willing to spend easily much more. The price is unbelievably low for the quality. The bakeware was also included and it's the same heavy duty quality. My muffins and cakes were perfect and slid right out. Again, I didn't use spray oils and that may be the issue some have had.

I've used the pots and frying pans for a few weeks and like the performance and ease of clean-up. I did put some items (one pot and two frying pans) once through the dishwasher (as advertised as safe) and they came out fine. However: 1) From their website: "Dishwasher Safety: While our ceramic cookware is generally dishwasher safe, hand washing is our recommendation to maintain the integrity of the non-stick coating and extend the life of the cookware." I will hand wash from now on but wish the heads up was in their advertising as well. 2) The large frying pan had a very noticeable chip at the top of the rim out of the box. That's not going to interfere with cooking, but it's a heads up to check item as you unpack. Overall, so far -- except for the above -- it's a winner.

The media could not be loaded. These pans are great. If you read the instructions on the best way to use them, I think they will last forever. I tried stainless steel....fail. I used every trick and tip I could find and everything I cooked in them would stick. Not these pans. I only hand wash, takes 2 seconds. No metal utensils, low to medium heat and NO non stick cooking spray. I poured a little olive oil in the pan... no stick. I used a little butter.. no stick I used nothing this morning, fried eggs.. NO stick. So far, they are great. I cook twice a day, so even though I've owned them a short time, I have used them a lot. I took a picture of the pan after I cooked the eggs and right after I cleaned it. Even the bottom of the pan still looks new. I've used this pan about 10 times already.

Update: The pans are terrible. If making 2 eggs in the small frying pan they will burn and require soaking to get the residue off. See attached picture. This is cooking 2 eggs on heat between low and medium, without any oil spraying. Unless you spray an oil before cooking it will look like this! That just makes this like any other cheap pan. I just received the set and the glass lid on the 1.5 quart pot was scratched. I did not want to return the entire set to Amazon so I called Gotham Steel customer service via telephone. I explained the situation and told them I just wanted to get the replacement of one lid. They responded that Amazon handles the first 30 days of problems. I told them I did not want to return the entire set and just wanted one lid replaced. He responded with Amazon handles the first 30 days and hung up on me! I contacted Amazon and they made things right for me. Amazon gets 5 stars and Gotham Steel gets 0 stars. The set is beautiful looking, however I have not been able to use them yet. I will update this rating later once I use the set. However, be aware of what kind of customer service you might be receiving from Gotham Steel.
