Directions: Glass terrariums are the preferred choice of professional Herpetologists. They offer the best viewing for your animal; they are suitable for damp and humid conditions, are hygienic and easy to clean. Glass also maintains the correct heat gradient more safely and easily-maintaining the correct heat gradient is critical to a reptile's and amphibian's well-being as they use external heat sources in their environment to regulate their body temperatures.

  • What a great after all the research
Color: Black
Firstly, these arrived quickly and in excellent shape with excellent packing and were not overly heavy or awkward. Secondly, I'm a sucker for glass and multipurpose things. I looked at dozens of terrarium/vivarium/reptile habitat enclosures. I have been trying to upgrade my leopard geckos to an enclosure that would offer enrichment and interest for both them and my family. I looked at so many pvc, wood, mdf, plastic, diy, glass etc options. I just couldnt purchase anything that cant hold a spill or will warp, that bugs could chew, would be melted or scratched very easily or is purely plastic and flexible... I don't like the exo terra due to the wide plastic horizontal bar etc in the worst spot. But this terrarium that is stackable and can hold water if I choose and has really nice components...including wire organizer/keeper options and a tight fitting lid...its so nice. I love it. I bought the rock background 36x18" for the exoterra terrarium of the same size from universal rocks and I'm floored. Looks like a show piece. The gecko is essentially a decoration to the ecosystem on display now. I am so pleased with these. I will be buying another that is 36x12x18 to stack atop my other two. I think there is no better commercial option and honestly...not really a better custom option for the price. My one critique is that they do not have a kit for hiding the space between stacked units. So I will need to make something. I'm very pleased with the quality and ease of construction and sturdiness of these terrariums. In the future, I could easily change the enclosure and make a higher humidity ecosystem with a water feature or even fish. You cant beat these. What a fantastic enclosure. I used local cholla wood, Josh's frogs dirt for one and then the bio dude substrate for the other. Leopard geckos do love to climb, they do, they made their own changes to their enclosures too. These are easy to move with help and reconfigure when you decide to do your flooring. They even have wheels as an option. We have three stacked and universal rocks backgrounds in all three. Zero problems except evaporation is fast with the no light subcutaneous heat bulbs. So have a big container of water by your enclosures even for lizards to water plants and keep your enclosure habitable for isopods and other organisms. After doing floors in the house and a remodel, I finally got my set up back in order, I added a third enclosure and renovated my first "scape". After I complete my cord mess and get my timers to obey, I have some woodgrain panels I have cut to fit for the sides and I will add those. For the front areas in-between, I will be using a perforated black panel. I put my enclosures on a dunnage (I think that's what it's called) stand meant to keep large sacks of flour and ingredients off the ground in a food facility. It's made from welded aluminum and just fits and 20 gallon terrarium under for my quarantine tank. Ensure your base is level and all your enclosures will have perfectly aligned glass doors. We will probably get another reptizoo because I have another universal rocks background. But I'm not getting it until my husband and catches a collared lizard. So, motivation.... The whole family loves these enclosures. I can stare at them for hours. I may get a zen garden rake or mini yard equipment for it. I only have live plants in one now, I made sure to have a completely contained, yet wicking soil pot for them this time. You can't go wrong with these very sturdy and amazing repti zoo components and enclosures. ... show more

  • Well made and looks great
Color: Reptile Terrarium - Double Hinge Door
I was impressed with the build quality of this thing as soon as I got it out of the box. It was easy to put together, It looks sharp, and the design was well thought out. The lock is really nice. I was expecting one of those metal slide locks you might see on a locking case in a store, but the lock is so discreet at first I thought it didn't come with one. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right enclosure and I'm really happy with my decision. Great enclosure. Great value for the money. ... show more

  • Works well for bearded dragon -
Color: Reptile Terrarium - Sliding Door
This was easy to put together. We read all the reviews and took them into account as we put it together. Here are some tips: Go slow with the threaded posts and drop them in directly from the top so you can line up the threading. (It will make sense.) The threads get off very easily and it shouldn’t be difficult to screw them in. If you are forcing it, then it isn’t lined up. We adjusted a couple times if we noticed our next step when the bars we slide over were not level. But it’s easy to catch and fix. Be careful to read and look where the sliding glass doors line up with the top. We put the top on backwards and the double lanes or tracks for the sliders were off. Easy fix but something to be aware of that I quickly forgot and the directions do not point out. I recall some reviews mentioning the doors rattle. It’s true. They do. We first started with tucking a scrap of terrarium liner between the doors to dampen the rattle. What works well, because we do not use the locks, is to put the suction cup in the gap on the left or right side. It serves as a door knob too. It is also true- the locking mechanism isn’t great but our dragon isn’t looking to escape like other animals. So those suction cups are our door knobs. I think the lock provided could break the glass. For bearded dragons : note that the mesh - or any mesh- doesn’t allow UV to get through so prepare yourself with light set ups before you move your dragon. The top is nice and sturdy with a little spring loaded lock deal- just not for letting any UV through. We have liner in the bottom now but plan to do sand or some type of burrowing substrate . The bottom has a decent 1-2 inches below the door that will make it easy enough to keep clean and manage. I don’t write many reviews but this one seemed worthy to help other buyers ! Overall a good purchase if you are looking at a glass vivarium. The photos are to illustrate our set up and the suction cup in the door to stop the rattle. It is a bit of work to keep warm (no insulation etc) so I am gauging different options and plan to tie up my cords once that is finalized. ... show more

  • Solid cabinet, interesting cams, spacious
The cabinet arrived with a small dent on the tabletop, but it was on the underside of the back edge, so it was acceptable. The boards used are very heavy, making this a robust cabinet. It's particle board, but the plastic surface area is built to last. Putting it together was easy; it took about 35 minutes. There are many cam locks, and these cams are made of shiny, heavy metal. That detail is important because cams I've used in the past are made of softer, dull metal and often break. None of these broke while tightening them. One thing to note is that a couple would not lock down using the included stubby screwdriver. I had to use a battery drill. You MUST do this carefully because a battery drill can easily destroy cams. The instructions could be better detailed. There were a couple of sections showing four screws visually, but you needed to use six. They also tell you to use 16 pins for the shelves, but you only need eight. More attention to detail in the instructions would help. This product lost one star due to the hard-to-lock-down cams and just-OK instructions. Still, I would recommend it. ... show more
