Description

Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape instantly seals out water, air and moisture. With an extra thick adhesive layer and UV resistant backing, this flexible tape conforms to form a permanent bond indoors and out. At 4 inches wide use it to patch holes, cracks, gaps and tears, even underwater. Excellent for Home, auto, marine, camping, RVs, outdoors and more. Will work on plastic, metal, aluminum, rubber, wood, vinyl, glass, steel, acrylic and much more. Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape can be applied in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions. For best results, apply the tape to a clean surface at room temperature: 1. Keeping liner on tape, cut tape to desired size. Tape size should be larger than the repair area, extending beyond all edges. 2. Remove the release liner and place tape over desired repair area. Tape cannot be repositioned once applied. 3. Rub entire surface of the tape aggressively, especially the edges. STORAGE: Store tape on the top and bottom disc at room temperature. Edges of tape may be sticky. SERVICE TEMP: -70°F to 200°F. Performance will be dependent on surfaces & conditions. Surfaces must be clean, smooth and non-porous. Water must be pressed out from underneath tape. Not for use on seams, applications under pressure, or automotive applications under the hood. May not adhere to silicone or water-repellent materials. Do not use to hang. The media could not be loaded. I am sort of shocked it worked, but it worked! I had to clean the pond liner with 99.9% alcohol, and then I used 3 patches. I did one on top of the other a little bigger on each one. The roll is plenty to work with, but it's only 10 feet. I used gloves when messing with it because it is so sticky. It is excellent quality tape. Light years better than duct tape for sure. It does not stick to wet surfaces, but will be able to get wet once you apply it to a clean dry surface. This is a great product , very sticky , however if you have a leak with pressure , it will not hold , it blows off really easy and breaks ..I had a very small leak in my sprinkler water pump , and I had to put clamps around it in order to hold .

I had a broken pipe in a two door freezer. When it would defrost the water would run out and then refreeze on the bottom, or anything I had stored inside. Eventually the problem caused a censor to trip and the freezer shut itself down. I got this tape to see if I could patch up the problem without having to pay a tech a small fortune. It worked great, the pipe no longer leaks and the tape is holding up in sub zero weather. I'll see how it holds up over a long period of time but so far so good. ... show more

The text beyond the line is the review from a different reviewer named Mark from June 21, 2022. I literally screenshot his review so I could repair my own 1,200 gallon vinyl pool. I had only one tiny hole spurting water on the seam of the side and the bottom. I couldn’t find the patch that came with the pool, so I was hoping for some sort of solution. So far, after one week, so good! I will add, be conscious about where you set the tape roll when not in use. It is so sticky that you’ll ruin any paper or susceptible materials with the adhesion of the side of the tape. ______________________________________________ Okay, so this is Gorilla Tape. Gorilla tape works, we all know this. But what about underwater? So my brand spanking new vinyl liner pool decides to spring not one, not two, but three leaks on its first fill up. 3000 gallons of water to fill this thing up, I wasn't going to empty it! I live in a desert, I felt guilty enough filling it up, emptying it out to fix a hole and then refilling, no way. So I researched a ton of different patches and came across this product here on Amazon. The reviews were weird. Yes, I read them just like you are doing now. Some say it didn't stick at all? Another says it comes off the roll really loose. Here is the scoop - there is an error on the directions for this tape. So, let's do two things here together - One, know you are not wasting your time, get this product. Right now, don't waste time! Two, read below on a couple of important but easy steps on using it. 1) The directions tell you to cut off the piece you want and then round the corners. Here is something important: Do NOT - guys, read that again - do NOT - use your wife's good scissors or the ones in your knife rack. Don't do it guys. The residue left behind was like crazy glue. It sticks! Your best bet is using a decent pair of scissors and making your cuts in one smooth motion. This will prevent goo from getting on your scissors. 2) AFTER cutting, get to where you need to place the tape and then REMOVE the transparent liner over the sticky part of the tape. The directions never tell you to remove this liner! Well, to those people with the negative reviews, they didn't remove the liner. Once you remove it, watch out - it is sticky as can be! Try not to touch the sticky part!! We took the tape, sticky exposed, went underwater, and stuck that bad boy right where the pool was leaking. Pressed all the air out, pressed down on the edges, then just stood on it for a few minutes. Did this for all three holes and not one has leaked again. Okay, so it isn't as pretty as some of the other patches, it is a big black piece of tape. But it works and works fast and it is easy. Buy with confidence. ... show more
