I was a bit skeptical when I saw this shelving unit given that the price was around $40, so I wasn't expecting too much when it arrived and I opened the box but to my great surprise it turned out to be excellent! I was looking for a shelving unit that I could use for my indoor seedlings and grow lights until it was warm enough for them to be planted outside, so I needed adjustable shelves that I could lower or raise as needed. I also have a few light panels that need to attach to the shelf since they don't have their own stand or housing, but I wanted them to be easily adjustable as well depending on the needs of the plants underneath. This shelf checked all those boxes and more. The shelf was easy to assemble and the part that took the longest was removing it from all the packaging. The poles were in plastic sheathing, the shelves were zip tied together with corner protectors and spacers sandwiched in-between each shelf so there wasn't metal hitting metal during shipping. I only make note of the packaging because of the thoroughness of it, which delivered the product without the slightest damage anywhere. The metal itself feels sturdy and didn't have any give to it when I applied pressure. I am sure it is possible to bend it, but you would have to apply a lot of pressure in order to do that so I would not expect any metal to fail or bend under anything that I had planned for the shelves. The shelf came with 4 adjustable feet that screw in the bottom of each of the 4 poles (there were a total of 8 pieces but when screwed together you end up with 4 poles). I ended up using some caster wheels I had laying around instead of the feet so I could make my shelf mobile and move it with ease if needed. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality, ease of assembly, and the overall look of this shelving unit. I also love a great deal and for $40 I would be surprised if you could find something better at the same (or even a little higher) price point. My only knock is I wish the shelving was just a bit more robust, particularly the "floor" elements of the shelves. I do not want to overstate it, but they are a little flexxy. The uprights and everything else is very robust and 1st rate. The ID for the uprights is .88" and the adjustable foot bases for each leg can be simply knocked out from behind and replaced with an expanding stem caster. I mention this because it was important that I be able to do this, and it is not mentioned in the item description. In the pics, I show the top shelf installed inverted to give the shelf a little bit of an upward lip. I like this a lot. ... show more

I have a small house that is usually full of grand kids, so I'm always looking for extra storage. When this shelf popped up, I wasn't really expecting much, but I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it, and how easy it was to assemble. You don't need any screws or tools, other than a rubber mallet, and it took my husband less than 30 minutes to put it together. It is lightweight enough that I can move it around, but still very sturdy and feels like it will easily hold a lot of weight. My house is over a hundred years old and the floors tend to dip, so I also appreciate the adjustable screw feet that allow each leg to be adjusted individually. I am able to set it wherever I want, and it sits perfectly straight. This is a great little shelf for the money and highly recommend it. ... show more

Great little shelf! Using it in the garage for odds and ends and so far it's held up just fine. Quick and easy to assemble and not too heavy. Stores a good bit on the shelves and some surprising amounts of weight. I have over a hundred pounds sitting on it currently and it's held up great!

I've used this style of shelving in various places around our house, both indoors and outdoors, and love the design for its simplicity, ruggedness, and versatility. This particular unit has 4 shelves and the ability to customize the height on the middle two to provide flexible storage. Assembly is easy and the instructions walk you through how to attach the heavy-duty plastic clip-on wedges that mount to the legs and hold up the shelves. The key is to count out the spacing consistently so they sit level, and a rubber mallet (not included) is needed to secure them snugly. Working alone, I had mine fully assembled in about 20 minutes. I like the fact that all four feet have leveller screws so you can use it on uneven surfaces like a slanting garage or similar and the full unit is lightweight enough that a single person can move it easily after assembly. ... show more
