Description

Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape instantly seals out water, air and moisture. With an extra thick adhesive layer and UV resistant backing, this flexible tape conforms to form a permanent bond indoors and out. At 4 inches wide use it to patch holes, cracks, gaps and tears, even underwater. Excellent for Home, auto, marine, camping, RVs, outdoors and more. Will work on plastic, metal, aluminum, rubber, wood, vinyl, glass, steel, acrylic and much more. Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Tape can be applied in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions. For best results, apply the tape to a clean surface at room temperature: 1. Keeping liner on the tape, cut tape to desired size. Tape size should be larger than the repair area, extending beyond all edges. 2. Remove the release liner and place tape over the desired repair area. The tape cannot be repositioned once applied. 3. Rub entire surface of the tape aggressively, especially the edges. Storage: Store tape on the top and bottom disc at room temperature. Edges of tape may be sticky. Service Temp: -70°F to 200°F. Performance will be dependent on surfaces & conditions. Surfaces must be clean, smooth and non-porous. Water must be pressed out from underneath tape. Not for use on seams, applications under pressure, or automotive applications under the hood. May not adhere to silicone or water-repellent materials. Do not use to hang. I needed to seal a cut in some heavy duty pond liner. This product did the job. No leaks (as yet). I doubt that I will attempt to remove it so I left that rating category blank. It's a thick tape and I expect that it will hold fast for years to come.

I used this to hold up my drivers side mirror because late one night I had a disagreement with a cement pillar in a parking lot... and lost. Horribly. Popped my whole mirror clean off and left it hanging by a cord. I used duct tape until I could get the money to buy and install a new one, but each time it rained I'd come out and the mirror would be hanging again. So I got the idea to put some waterproof tape over it. Worked really well for a while (over a month or so), but eventually the rain finally won out and the mirror was hanging once more. Thankfully, by that time, I had bought the new mirror and by the next day had it replaced with some family help. Was real hard to get off though. Very goopy and sticky. Had I not had the duct tape underneath to act as a foundation that I could cut with scissors, it probably would have been much harder and messier to remove. ... show more

We had a huge tear in our above ground pool. We had already drained and patched once so we didn’t want to drain again - the bottom of the pool stretches as it fills, so it’s hard to get a patch to stay. I was skeptical, but I dove down to the tear with a piece of this tape and repaired it under the water and it worked! The adhesive is really thick and sticky. The tape itself isn’t pretty, but it works so I don’t care. It’s day 2 with the tape and it still is sticking with no leak. Edit: 1 month later - the tape started to lift in a few areas and the pool leaked again. Tried to add more tape, but it didn’t work. Would work great on small holes but I was asking for a miracle on my pool tear. ... show more

I used this tape to patch areas of skirting on my house. I was amazed by how strong its sticking power is. It's also totally waterproof. I can well imagine that it would work to patch roofs. It's difficult to work with and WILL STICK TO YOUR HANDS, so be sure to wear gloves. I didn't try to remove or reposition it, but i think that would be very difficult to do.     • Gorilla Tape, Better than Duck Tape!

I love the hold and durability of this tape. It is very easy to rip with you hands and it holds steadfast. I bought this to repair a tear in my grandkids pool. It worked like a charm! Just be sure to do the repair on a dry pool lining because I am not sure about the application on a wet surface. I know in the description that it says it is waterproof but I did not test that out. I also needed to make a repair to the chrome trim molding that was coming up on the rear of my SUV. I used Gorilla Glue to reattach the chrome trim to the car then I used the Gorilla Tape to hold the strip down until it dried. It worked and did not mess up my car’s paint or leave any sticky adhesive on my paint either. I always have duck tape in my vehicle or around the house but as you know sometimes it leaves that sticky residue on surfaces not Gorilla Tape. So now I will only use this product.
