The media could not be loaded. When we received this from the carrier it was on a double pallet and I thought what have I gotten myself into. Well it was a lot of fun work that took me a few days but worth every minute spent on it. Luckily it comes with a very detailed instruction manual or should I say instruction book. I would highly recommend reading completely through it before you begin, you will be glad you did. Then just go one page at a time. DO NOT SKIP AHEAD. You might be overwhelmed by all the hardware. I suggest to sort it all out on a table before you start. I marked each bag of screws as to their length. Unfortunately the length is no labeled on the bags. Take a minute to measure the screws, nuts and bolts AHEAD of time. I hope you have an electric screw gun, don't even try and do it without one. The finished product will delight your children or grandchildren. The smiles on their faces was worth all the hard work and expense. ... show more

This play structure is certainly well designed and sturdier than others we have had in the past. There are more supports for the main floor than I have seen on other residential play sets. There are a few holes that need to be drilled as they are site dependent (ladder, rockwall, slide). Most things just line up. I did have to modify the arches on one side of the roof structure as the corner post had a slight bend at the end that would not be bent straight. Minor issue fixed with a saw and a few extra holes drilled, you would never notice if you were looking at it though. It is a definite winner. Would definitely recommend. In all my husband and I finished this in a little under 12 hours, which included unpacking boxes, counting hardware, leveling the ground, and digging out the grass for the sandbox. Cons: We noticed a few boards with superficial cracks which I filled with a couple applications of wood glue. I also counted the hardware at the beginning and we were short a locknut, so off to Lowe's we went, only to find we didn't end up using them all. This was the case with the wood screws (which I didn't count) but we had extras. Building the roof definitely requires a ladder, but wasn't too bad. Pros: Seems really sturdy (so far) and all the predrilled holes lined up as expected. Majority of the wood was in good shape and no critical parts were missing. Instructions were very clear and most pieces were clearly marked. Ways to make this build go faster: -take a few mins before you start to label and organize your hardware -if you have two drills (or can borrow one) using one for drilling pilot holes and one for driving the hardware helped us speed things up - if you have an extra set of hands, the ladder, rock wall, dormers, and chimney can all be built independently and set aside for when the structure is ready for them. We elected to leave a few of the plastic parts off because we didn't think they improved the look. In general really happy with the set. Can't wait to watch our son enjoy it as he grows! ... show more

    • Issue with Amazon...Not Gorilla!
We had a couple of issues with this playset. The things that were Gorilla issues were corrected immediately. However, our slide had some deep scratches and scrubs on it. We were told by Gorilla that this would have to be taken care of by Amazon since Amazon chooses their own carrier. We tried repeatedly to contact someone at Amazon, and every contact we were able to make was automated and our situation did not fit the prompts available. I tried to find a number where I could talk to a real person but had no luck. Very disappointing. The playset is awesome and Gorilla was great to work with. Our only problem is the scratched slide and our inability to get this handled through Amazon. ... show more

1..... The instructions are done in such a detailed and professional way as to give you complete confidence in their accuracy, but have counterintuitive flaws that are very important every few pages. You can work around it if you read well ahead and have a good mind for engineering. 2.....the fine print contains so many work arounds on product defects that it basically negates any kind of intention of standing behind their product or durability. 3.....There are many small defects/ warps. There are splits/cracks in the wood on arrival. The wood is lightweight, weak and easily cracks under moderate tightening. There are missing screws and hardware needed to assemble. I'm sure that they are available for replacement after a lengthy communication with the company, but the shawdy nature of the kit and the legalise of the fine print doess not inspire confidence in any resolution. It is overpriced and underdesigned. I am happy to have it during Covid, but not ecstatic. 4....this is just a preference, but i prefer philip head screws over these square top screws...save time and buy your own screws, at least over 1.5 inches in length... ... show more

Took me about a week to assemble. Had to make a few trips to my local Lowe's because the included hardware had a few missing screws and bolts, but other than that, it wasn't difficult to assemble at all if you take your time and follow the instructions. The most difficult part was leveling it on soft soil in the backyard, which required some digging and tamping. Some steps require that a second person holds the parts in place while you fasten them into the wooden pieces. ... show more

We received our set With lots of important Construction parts missing. AMAZON told us to contact The Manufacturer and we Did and they did t Call us back. We called Amazon and Amazon told us to return the we already invested a lot Of many in labor to a handyman. It’s impossible to return this item after you’ve been putti g it together. It must weight about 500 pounds. I am still missing the missing Parts. It is very distasteful that neither Amazon nor Gorilla Playsets consider this situation worth an adjustment in Price due to their negligence. ... show more
