This is an item you don't replace often. Our previous cover was so old, the foam was completely flat, and even showed indentations of the ironing board. (I guess that's to be expected after almost 20 years.) I decided to order the plain grey color. The quality is FANTASTIC! The cover is no nice and thick and the elastic holds the cover on securely. There are adjoining velcro straps underneath just in case! When I was ironing before, I had to turn my piece and iron both sides of the fabric to get the wrinkles out. This cover allowed only the need to iron one side - it held heat really well. The time it took me to iron our sheets was cut in half! (Don't ask. I bought the perfect oversized sheets, only to find they wrinkle worse than an elephant's ass.) At least this ironing board cover has brought some sanity back to an insane chore! In fact, we don't iron ANYTHING else as any items that would need pressing go to the dry cleaners. They just charge too much to press sheets, so here I am ironing like a defunct housewife. I don't know what's worse... The fact that I iron our sheets, or that we have more than one ironing board, and I'm going to buy more of these covers for them.

This blue ironing board cover was a great replacement for the cover that came with my brand new ironing board. I do wish the padding were a bit thicker like they were in the "old days", but this is probably the best you'll be able to find. The coated fabric prevents moisture from seeping through onto the metal board. It has an elastic edging as well as velcro straps to hold it in place. It is easy to put on and take off. The elastic holds it in place so well, that I do not even have to use the straps.

I like the quality of the cover but it just about fits, length wise. Another inch or two would have been a better fit. I’m hoping it stays in place after continuous opening and closing of the ironing board.

My old topper to the ironing board was very old, somewhat burnt and didn’t stay in place anymore. Bought this one and it fits perfect. It also has Velcro straps on the bottom that help keep it in place.
