I measured the footprint of the shampooer and bought this item to specifically serve as a barrier so that the dirty water from the extractor nozzle does not drip back. The size is perfect for that purpose! Note that this mat does not hold a lot of liquid, but some dripping from the nozzle and the wet brush drum should be fine. For those who are wondering, this is a common problem with any carpet shampooer. Dirty water extracted sticks to the inside of the extraction nozzle. When the vacuum is on, there is no problem. The moment the shampooer is turned of, so does the vacuum. Then the dirty water drips down. A solution is to keep the shampooer on until it gets to a surface that is easy to clean up. That is exactly what this mat is for!

This Gorilla Grip feeding mat has been a total win for keeping my floors clean. I have a slightly messy eater (okay, more like a food-flinger), and this mat catches everything—spilled kibble, splashed water, even the occasional treat bounce. The raised edge design is what really makes it shine. It keeps all the mess contained so nothing runs off onto the floor, especially if the water bowl gets bumped. The silicone material is thick, flexible, and completely waterproof, which makes cleanup a breeze—just wipe it down or rinse it in the sink. It's a lot thinner than I expected with barely a lip on it. It would be good for small dog bowls but does not work well for big dog bowls. For the price it's a nice little mat. It's not going to keep water from spilling over the edges if very much dumps out of a bowl.

We purchased this mat to go under the food and water bowls for our cats. It is very solid and easy to clean. The lip is not very high so if there is a water spill it will not hold a lot of water. Other than that it is a solid mat to put under your pets bowls.
