I have purchased and used many different clips and straps to fix my GoPro to my backpack strap for trips. I have a velcro strap that goes over a backpack strap, a generic clip, and the official GoPro clip. This is the best of them all. Pros: - From the first image, you can see that this is the smallest of all the clips that I have, which I like since it doesn't get in the way as much when you are taking off and putting on the backpack - When you rotate the clip (not even an option on the velcro strap), it doesn't change the form factor much, unlike the other clip - I wrote a review for the Sametop clip and one of the big issues for me was how the spring is located so far back, which means very little leverage for opening the clip. You can see that the GoPro clip gives you a little more leverage which makes opening and closing (i.e. attaching and removing) much easier. - Finally, another gripe I had with the Sametop was that the teeth are sharp plastic, and after putting it on and taking it off multiple times, it actually started to rip the threads on my backpack strap. The GoPro teeth are rubber, which means that this will not be a problem. - Also, if you are considering the Sametop, the GoPro clip is way easier to swivel, which makes it easier to adjust while it's on your bag. Cons: - No real cons come to mind, but if I'm nitpicking, I don't care for having the magnet on the back. I get a little nervous any time my gear (which will come into contact with thousands of dollars worth of camera gear and electronics) has magnets. Conclusion: I have used these straps and clips to affix my GoPro to my backpack for vacation videos, and until now, they have always left something to be desired. I'm glad that GoPro made an official version, and in my opinion, they did it right. No compromises here, and I am excited to use this clip. If you are looking for something to clip your GoPro to your bag, this is it, no need to look elsewhere.

This is my first choice for GoPro accessories. The rubber teeth and strong spring allow me to clip my camera just about anywhere, and it will stay where I put it. I can clip it to my belt, my shirt pocket, the strap of my backpack or messenger bag, or the brim of my hat (either facing upward or hanging down). It also does a great job as a mini-tripod. The base has a strong magnet to hold this to any STATIONARY piece of metal, and my camera isn't going anywhere. I can even put it on the roof or door of a slow-moving car, and it will stay in place. What it won't do is keep your camera attached securely to the hood of a jeep that you're taking off-road. (If I did want to attach my camera to the hood/roof of a fast-moving car then I would use Adhesive Mounts for GoPro Cameras.) Finally, the battery door shown in the accompanying picture was included with my FitStill Silicone Sleeve Case.

As someone who regularly creates action content with my GoPro, I'm always looking for versatile mounting solutions that can help me capture unique perspectives and angles. The GoPro Magnetic Swivel Cameras Clip has become one of my most-used accessories, and it's opened up creative possibilities that I never had with traditional mounts. The magnetic attachment system is incredibly strong and reliable. I was initially concerned about trusting my expensive GoPro to a magnetic mount, but those concerns vanished after the first use. The magnet creates an exceptionally secure hold that I genuinely trust even during active filming scenarios. I've used it on metal surfaces ranging from car hoods to gym equipment to metal railings, and the camera has never shifted or fallen, even with significant movement and vibration. The swivel functionality is what truly makes this accessory special. The 360-degree rotation capability means I can quickly adjust my camera angle without having to dismount and remount the entire setup. This is invaluable when filming dynamic content where you need to change perspectives rapidly. The swivel mechanism moves smoothly but holds firmly in place once positioned, which gives me confidence that my framing will remain consistent throughout a shot. The compact size and low profile of this clip make it incredibly practical for travel and everyday carry. It takes up minimal space in my camera bag, and I find myself bringing it along on trips where I might not have room for bulkier mounting equipment. Despite its small footprint, it doesn't compromise on functionality or build quality. The construction feels solid and well-engineered, with no cheap plastic components that might break under stress. One of my favorite applications for this magnetic clip is mounting my GoPro inside vehicles for driving footage. The magnetic attachment works perfectly on the metal surfaces inside cars and trucks, allowing me to position the camera on door frames, roll bars, or dashboard edges for unique interior perspectives that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with suction cup mounts.

the swivel clip works as advertised. but the jaws are plastic and clamp good, but there is not much grip because they do not have any rubber in the jaw grip area. this can be added, just glue in some rubber. overall a good item

I enjoy this clip because not only is it magnetic but I mostly use it to clip to one of my backpack straps and it holds for the rest of the day it doesn't just slip off.

Functionality: very versatile, and the magnetic bottom is added bonus. I clipped it on my backpack strap during several hikes and very tight so it wasn't easily fall off. Installation is no brainer and very easy to use.

Tried a knock off version and it sucked. This one is great. Sturdy, clips seamlessly onto shoulder strap of backpack, even has hand magnet on the back. Worth the extra money
