Very satisfied with this purchase, everything fit nicely, I did not need to make any adjustments to holes or threads. It did come in 3 separate boxes, but that's good because this is a heavy hoist, and heavy duty at that. All thick gauge steel, good paint, no problem with the hydraulic cylinder, you just need to make sure you tighten the pressure release screw before lifting with it. Quality is excellent, description accurate, comes with a diagram of what bolts and nuts go where, I installed the casters first and it was a breeze to assemble. Oh also, GoplusUS Support was extremely helpful with tracking the packages, and it arrived a couple days earlier than the earliest estimated delivery date, so thank you to GoplusUS for such a great job and taking care of the order! ... show more

    • Impressive hoist for the money

I am going to start with the cons: you will need some help (read 4 hands) to set it up as one cannot hold a metal piece upright and put a bolt through it at the opposite end at the same time. The assembly manual has a great picture but it is mostly washed out (the way it was printed) so not too useful. Pros: great hoist for the money. I am using it to lift 800 lbs machinery and move it around the garage. It works great. One thing to keep in mind (as one other review was mentioning) the caster wheels are all steel so if you have dirt on the garage floor it will be hard to move the hoist with the loaded weight. Yes it comes in 3 packages because thats the way they can ship using fedex/ups. So you might not get them all at the same time. In my case one of the packages was lost somewhere but I called Goplus and they were very helpful in tracking and resolving the issue. When not in use you it folds minimizing the footprint. Make sure you tighten all the bolts that come with the machine and you should be good to go. ... show more

3/10/25 I ordered this engine particularly because it was made in America, I have a project that I need it for, The box arrived beat up, In the past I refused shipments, because of the way the box looked when it arrived, i was excited that the engine hoist arrived, today, I assembled it, bit first I had to hammer one of the leg slots in the base thru cause it was bent, and would not let the leg seat properly. after opening all the boxes, I found the bolt for the chain missing and the handle for the hydraulic ram missing also. The bags of bolts looked like they had been torn and retaped. people Made in America is supposed to be a standard of quality that far exceeds the imported stuff. ... show more

I have not used it to lift my 2.2 liter engine yet, but I did use it to lift other heavy objects (e.g., antique cider press, harbor freight rolling toolbox, etc.) into the bed of my Tacoma. It rolls easily on concrete garage floor. It is very handy. I am happy with this product.

Edited to add, first time I actually went to use it, the arm literally collapsed from the engine weight. I don't need to risk my life or limb. Very disappointed. I'll see about making a new arm but I'm not sure my life is worth risking it. Amazon wont let me discuss most of the issues, so it's just the product I'm allowed to comment on. They used all soft bolts nearly everyone broke during assembly. I had to run to town to purchase hardened bolts. When they drilled the holes for The extension legs, they did so against the weld of the leg, I work in a metal shop, what this did was stress the weld, it is now about half the tensile strength. This makes it flippen dangerous to use. When that weld let's go, and it will, it's going to spin as it twists and falls. If it wouldnt cost me more to return this POS than I paid to buy it, I would send it back. It's really that big a POS. Too unsafe to use. It will sit as an expensive mistake. Dont risk your life with this cheap POS. Go buy a timber and a come a long. You'll be safer and save a ton of money, and be less aggravated By this POS. ... show more

The cherry picker engine lift is really good. It is much heavier duty than my previous one and the 8 ton jack is more than double my previous lift jack. It comes in handy for the larger jobs.
