Can I get a clap for minimalist design approach? I pictured myself at anyone's small high tech room on Star Trek Discovery or similar. Honestly, it is efficient and if you search the right YouTube videos or humor yourself with the interestingly translated instructions you will go through a streamlined and simple assembly time, say 30 mins or a tad longer if you are detail oriented (comme moi). I love the simplicity of a few operating buttons as the rest of the dashboard button-like light prints are for visual information and it sure looks cool and dynamic when you start walking, power walking or running on it. I like their lack of complication because most people put their hopes on navigational upgrades on TV apps (exercise platforms) rather than the machines themselves. You want to make a choice if you want to keep it folded below a desk, bed or tall-legged-sofa, or if you want to leave it assembled and up, as you will need to unscrew the arms for a perfect horizontal fold. I keep it standing as the design is currently cool and not too big. Friends tried the bluetooth speaker in the unit bought and liked it. In terms of attention to content and display upgrades I focus on smart TV & smart soundbar, letting the exercise machine do what if was acquired for. You can always clip your phone to the front and buy a separate desk to work on, but I am not the walk while you work type, though I appreciate the option. Love the colors, though if metallic dark purple was in their offers I would grab it right away. Quite happy with this unit, I am -that wording was Yodaesque' wasn't it?- in particular as we bought it with reward points during Prime Day. I needed a small treadmill to run and walk in the winter and walk with my stand up desk for working at home. This treadmill is perfect for both! It doesn’t take a lot space and can be put anywhere in the house. It’s perfect under my standup desk - now I have a walking work station. The speed is awesome, it ranges from a slow walk to a good run. It’s a little heavier than I thought, but it’s good because it’s sturdy and quality. I’m set for the winter. ... show more

    • A good treadmill, with a few minor issues that don't really subtract from the overall value.

Overall, I like this treadmill, and this is coming from someone who has owned a treadmill before. My old treadmill was clunky and loud. I am very happy that this machine is the opposite of that. I would say that this treadmill is compact without being too compact. You won't be lifting this thing over your head, but it's still relatively light, and it has wheels on the front so you can roll it around. The speed (7.5mph) and belt width (16in) are good. If you're in the market for a treadmill, I wouldn't get one with less than this. A 16in belt width is in my comfort zone. As others have said, the siderails do NOT fold. If you choose to use them then you'll have to remove them if you want to fold the treadmill up. Personally, I don't need siderails. They get in the way, especially if you want to run with dumbbells. All-in-all, I like that this is a respectable treadmill that is quiet and light and has a small footprint, being easy to fold up and put away. I should also mention that there was no assembly required, which is always a positive in my book. Now for the negative bit. The control panel is coming off on one side. The treadmill arrived that way. I assume this is due to damage during transport. It's nothing that a bit of glue can't fix. The panel looks like it was glued in place to begin with, and the panel still works fine, so I'm not too worried about it. But, I thought I'd mention this in case it becomes a problem later. For now, the panel snaps back in place with little fuss. Another issue though is the awful English grammar in the instructions. Really? The manufacturer couldn't find a single person with English as a first language to proofread the instructions? Some of the instructions and warnings are actually hard to understand because if the terrible wording and sentence structure. For example, I had trouble understanding where to add the lubricant to the treadmill. The poor instructions are accompanied by the worst smallest, blurriest picture ever. It could have been a picture of Sasquatch for all I know. All I could make out was a hand. When I finally figured out what the instructions meant to say. I felt under the treadmill on the inside of the belt to see how lubricated it was. It was bone dry. So, I applied a liberal amount of lubricant to the inner belt and found that the treadmill ran much smoother and quieter than before, not that it was loud in the first place. To anyone purchasing this treadmill, apply the lubricant that comes with the machine immediately. I count this as a negative to the manufacturer. Come on manufacturer! You couldn't spare a bit of lubricant before you shipped the product? It would keep the machines working more smoothly for longer and cost next to nothing. It would probably even help keep warranty costs down. This seems like an oversight. I give this 4 starts because it IS a good treadmill for a budget buy. I would probably recommend this to others, but I'd keep some of the negatives in mind. ... show more
