Received this charger today in the usual non-protective plastic bag. Fortunately, the box inside was undamaged and the contents were fine. The box that the charger is shipped in is well done and solid. I put the charger on my vehicle which has a good battery but needs to be maintained. The Gooloo brought the battery to full charge with internals brought to healthy battery level as well. The unit did not get overly hot with the top temperature being 104 degrees. It ran mostly in the high 90s which is very good in a Florida garage. Fit and finish of this light-weight tool is excellent. The illuminated screen is good but the battery categories are a bit small. E.g standard, agm, etc. Crisp but small . Again, tolerable to fine, depending on your eyesight. At the end of charging the unit registers Ful V and continues to trickle charge as needed. This is an excellent buy if it proves to be reliable over time. Highly recommended after first successful charging session. ... show more

I was going to reorder the brand I have three of since I know what the silly pictures mean. The display on this one is a little more intuitive but I wouldn't have guessed 12M was for maintenance since I assume/hope that if it's in charge mode it would switch to maintenance when fully charged? It would be nice if it displayed the charge voltage rather than just FULL when in Maintenance mode. Checking with my OTC brand VOM I saw 13.8V when the charger displayed FUL. Disconnecting it the battery was indeed at 13.8 and dropped rapidly (13.6V in about 30 sec). I think nominally the battery can hold ~13.2V when not connected to a load. Reconnecting the display showed 13.6 and rapidly climbed up to and help 14.4. IIRC that's about the voltage the alternator supplies. It's a bonus that this charger can be used as a 12V supply. Not sure when that might be useful but if you have something that is powered from the "cigarette lighter" I guess you could use this outside of a vehicle. I think maybe it's to replace a battery of a car that's in storage but you want to keep the memory and maybe have the dome light work. The backlight on the display is a nice feature. ... show more
